Were people saying Zhou Qi was ready for the NBA? IIRC people like me just said he looked good in SL. How can he be ready when he doesn't even play NBA mins?

Zhou Qi's shot being off is to be expected, he is trying to bulk up right now and lifting weights really hard. Gaining muscle mass messes with your shot because your strength increases so if you shoot the exact same way you did before (aka rely on your muscle memory) you will put more force than necessary and miss the shot.

Going to the Gleague is great for him, not sure what you are trying to imply the Rox obviously can't babysit a rookie they are trying to win a ring. Even Capela looked lile trash during his rookie year so this does not prove anything about Zhou Qi.

Zhou Qi's shooting stroke and his dribble is so smooth!

He clearly looks better there than any of his NBA games or summer league games.
His 3s were wide open shots. He has to make them if he wants to play in the Rockets system.

Looking awesome! I think they should just let him play down there for a few months. Time to start building his confidence. So excited for a couple years of power lifting for Zhou.

Yeah, totally. Give him the Capela treatment. Gain some weight and get to actually play some basketball.

Sochi looks good. The NBA is trending toward 7'3" players playing like guards. Knicks have Porzingis, Pels have AD, and Bucks have Greek Freak. Maybe Rockets have one in Joe. Rockets are usually late to the party with the changing tides of the NBA.

He even looks a lot like Bev in the face for sure. They could be brothers.

I'm not surprised that he was sent to the Valley. He needs the work and more to the point, playing time. Zhou will probably make several trips back and forth. It's become an important part of how the team develops young players, obviously. It also doesn't hurt their motivation. The tall slender cat will be busting his arse to get back to Houston.
