    Their starting pitching isn't good

Their top two starters aren't anywhere close to top of the rotation types. We had 30 baserunners and scored 5 runs, two well timed base hits would make these two games look totally different

Not to mention the BS suspension Abreu served and how much that could have made these two games look different

Astros will have at least 5 more wins than the skankees, likely quite a bit more

F them and the b**** they rode in on, take the next two

How competent must one be to realize we lost them both?

Yes, I know there are 160 more games. None of us need to be reminded of that.
But I cant help feeling like we have begun this season just like we ended last season.

    Losing at home.

    Tell me I'm wrong.

Of course we realize it’s only 2 games. But there are still some disturbing trends in those 2 games that have carried over from last season, which doesn’t give us an encouraging feeling moving forward. Namely the suckitude of the offense at home (esp Abreu) and middle of the bullpen (esp Montero). Framber looking like rookie Framber. Defense once again having its big lapses. Unfortunately it seems we are going to be at the mercy of Crane and Brown’s inactivity.

Espada has his work cut out for him.

Its Crane and Dana that got the real work to do.
Work they should have done in the off-season.

I don’t understand why they were so passive this off season with the bullpen

There are still some free agent arms that have to be better than our middle relief.

Our offense was not very good yesterday and the random middle guys aren't getting it done. The offense will come around and we are getting Abreu back. This is the time when you figure which bullpen guys you can trust.

Ok, you're wrong. With home field advantage throughout the playoffs last year the Astros won the World Series and have started this season 2-0.

I was not available last night and stopped following after 6. I had this feeling of dread because they were not able to add on.

    Feeling confirmed.

Oh well nothing to do about it now.

    Javier was great
    Bregman was on 3 times.
Altuve and Tucker each had 2 hits.
3 for 3 in SB attempts.

    Nothing else to say.

Today is another day and let's see if Hunter is up to the challenge of one-uping Cristian.
