Thought I would go through Nestor's stats. Two weaknesses jumped out to me. In 10ab's with a 3-2 count, he walked 5 and gave up 2 doubles. Our guys need to be patient and run up the count. His OPS against goes up 400 pts seeing batters the 2nd time. ----- Overall, he looks really strong on paper (1.29 era,1.00 Whip). Has only pitched 21 innings in 2021. Might be an opener for King who has had trouble in the 1st inning, but usually pitched well after that.

The Yankees’ offense has probably been the biggest letdown in comparison to last year, and the numbers don’t really paint the picture of a team ready for October. Slashing a collective .236/.322/.395, their .716 OPS is good for 13th in the league. They’re still hitting homers with 111 in the bag already this year, which is more than respectable in comparison to other teams. But the Yankees’ slugging seems to be all or nothing as they’re dead last in the league when it comes to both doubles (106) and triples (5) so far this year. Corey Kluber is on the 60-Day IL until probably August with a shoulder injury. No Correa is really frustrating unless he is banged up. This is a series fans have been waiting for a really long time to see.
