Well. At least we are not the Dodgers. But 2 runs in 26 innings is beyond putrid. It is inexcusable for professional players
Yes these stretches for the offense are frustrating, but I will take it now vs early October. Just ask the Indians how dominating during the regular season works out
Just now getting to watch the game. Severino obviously threw a great game. My first takeaway was hopefully he doesn’t have a tommy John surgery in his future because his 100 looks difficult vs someone like Coke where he looks nice and easy.
Not concerned yet. Our offense took a while to get rolling last year, and they are going up against a streaking Yankees team. If the offense isn't showing signs of life by mid May early June then I will start to get concerned. Hate to get owned by the Yankees, but it will be long forgetten if they end this season like 2017.
They can still win tomorrow afternoon 2-2. not really worked up about since it's early. It's not about just the bats waking up but right now they're just swinging away like it's 2015.
As for the Astros, I hope these shutouts don't go for naught. Management needs to make some changes. Also Keuchel needs to be skipped in the rotation and put in his rightful place, 5th so the team can have a better chance with him being up against other 4/5 starters.
Yeah I don’t like the way they are going down. The discipline isn’t there. I’m also not sure we can expect turn arounds from a few of these guys. Luckily our pitching staff will afford us some time to not panic but at some point I see a shake up coming. Tyler White should probably be up. Anyways win tomorrow and we’re 2-2 despite all of the above.
Pathetic but it just turned may. No panic for another 3-4 weeks. Gotta get through april and may with a winning record and then start trimming the fat and adding help if needed.
This. Our offense is only marginally worse than it was through April last year. Had a better average and about the same amount of runs scored. We didn't really get the offense rolling last year until the memorial day miracle, after that they were fired up.
Today marks the anniversary of Mike Cameron's 4-HR game (2002). It's always interesting recognizing past events. A post about offense amid a Sea of Shutouts
Didn't realize the details. Keuchel pitched like his usual self against all '15-'17 Yankees. Then, Stanton happened
