Diaz has never been a good enough hitter to warrant Baker sticking with him over Hensley or Mancini. He’s totally worthless out there and has a ton more value as a versatile defender on the bench.

 

Because Dusty is a sack of DOGSHIT.

I hope so. We might be up by 7 or 8 runs right now if Hensley had been in there instead of Diaz.

 

Astros could leave Mancini, Diaz and Dubon off the roster and it wouldn’t make any difference.

Verlander retired the first 10 in a row and then I think he started trying to overpower everyone when he got into some trouble. He can do that for a hitter or two, but not sustained over two innings.

He just needs to stay under control and Dusty needs to be willing to pull him and not try to get him a win.
