If Astros lost the World Series again to NL East, that’s unexplainable. Who’s next, lost to Miami and New York?
Astros had the better record than these 3 NL teams, but still struggled. I don’t have any idea why. World Series is a bad luck for Houston.
Yeah, I'm usually pretty optimistic despite outcomes but nothing seems to show Astros have a chance this series. This is who they are and this is why you pay Correa and Springer, this is why you go out and you get players who perform when you need them to. Not no fing Mancini.... Not no fing catcher you will not use. Bring a backup catcher up if you don't intend to use him. Click lost this series at the trade deadline. All these pitching matchups don't even matter with this squad, any pitcher can shut The Astros out...
Christian Vasquez over Maldy next game please. He caught Javier against the Yanks and they didn't give up a single run together. Maldy has caught 2 subpar games so far. Need a switch up.
I have a crazy idea. Next year, let’s enter the playoffs as a wild card. It seems to work for all these NL East teams. Winning the AL West and getting the top seed sure doesn’t seem to help the Astros.
Tomorrow with Javier is a must-win for Houston. Do that and it’s a 3 game series with 2 in Houston. Assuming the Astros will lose any game started by Verlander is assuming the Astros will lose the series. He won the ****ing cy young this year, you can’t write him off without writing off the whole thing. Houston is unlikely to win the World Series at this point. But that could be totally untrue 24 hours from now. A lot of pressure on Javier.
What is more amazing to me is that the Phillies learned it first inning and the Astros didn't pick it up until...who knows. When their 9th hole guy hit a homer they should have known something was up.
