Historically, teams that win Game 1 of a best-of-seven have gone on to win the series 64 percent of the time, though the Game 1 winner has won each of the last four World Series and 16 of the last 19 World Series. Let’s make that 16 of the last 20 World Series!
I've watched most of the Phillies games this post-season and they've been winning mostly by hitting well. They're get timely hits and runs from their entire line-up which is why they have so many comebacks. Astros have mostly relied on their stellar pitching rotation moreso than our hitters. This is why they were able to eek so many wins by just 1-2 runs. This is why the Phillies are "hotter" than the Astros right now. They can turn it on their hitting when they need it the most.
If you were flipping coins, and the first flip was heads, the odds of 3 more heads out of the next 6 would be 65%. That means Game 1 is no more meaningful than any other.
Postseason season baseball is not healthy. It was nice knowing the astros would lose every game before 2015.
No problem and thanks for your advice. I decided to just wait to see the right deal Online than risk the Westin
When it was 5-1 last night, we were driving to biloxi listening to game on radio. I told wife..... if we lose this game, we are in trouble. So yep, we in trouble. My hope is that we show mental fortitude tonight led by the offense but im expecting Phillies in 6 at this point. Framber must dominate tonight.
Ended up paying more than I had hoped but figured I’m in Houston the World Series is on when am I going to get this chance again. Am going to hit a bar out side the stadium and preflight though.
