Not surprised. He obviously couldn't go in Game 5 or they never would've scratched him. And there are only 2 days to rest and heal between Games 5 and 7(assuming it gets that far).
Come on now, there is a difference in believing it vs just having fun with it. **** it, whatever it takes! Verlander is 0-5 all time in the WS, and the visitors have won every game. We are done! DD
DaDakota, There are some on this board that say you have to root THEIR way or you are not a "TRUE" fan. They sound like Republicans and Trump fans. Where is the fun if people don't do things differently? The guys trying to take a post from the first week of the season without understanding the sarcasm of it or The whole Choke City thing was to see the reaction and try to spur an anti-jinx thing (and to push buttons). People want to you conform to THEIR way of thinking because THEY are right (in their minds). Here is the thing....YOU ARE NOT RIGHT. WE WILL POST AS WE SEE FIT. WE ARE NOT BREAKING RULES AND IT IRKS YOU THAT WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU THINK. LOL. If the Astros win and we will celebrate no matter how many b****y post you make. NOT GOING ANYWHERE.....LOL.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/postseason/2019_WS.shtml#all_post_batting_HOU If you go by baseball reference's win probability number (not sure what all goes into that), it ranks like this Springer 0.270 Alvarez 0.190 Gurriel 0.070 Chirinos 0.060 Tucker 0.060 Brantley 0.040 Marisnick -0.010 Reddick -0.050 Correa -0.070 Diaz -0.080 Bregman -0.110 Maldonado -0.120 Altuve -0.230 Altuve is surprising, guessing it's because he has zero RBIs and has hit into a few double plays.
Thanks.....I can't get that stupid song out of my head. Only good news, I now sing the Astros "Take It Back" version now.....
Sounds like he has a badly pinched nerve. If it got to the point where his whole shoulder completely locked (not just pain when moving it), then maybe he can pitch a few innings if things go well, but I can't see him pitching like a typical starter.
Isn't the shoulder part of the back? It's definitely below your neck. Anyway, I think it's unlikely he pitches at all, and if he does I can't see it being more than an inning or two.
I didn't mean to suggest that their "feelings" were justified. Several of the Astro's calls were also questionable.
I thought that was likely and said so in an earlier post. You don't just go from "can't get out of bed" to pitching in the World Series. Sounds like a pinched nerve. I wish him a speedy recovery, just not too speedy.
they would never do this and no one will ever agree with this but it would be fun to see harris start the game pitch a inning or 2 to see if the stros can score a couple of runs and then have Verlander come in to finish the game out. Pitching with a potential lead vs being tied or behind might help with the apparent WS jitters
No, I dont live in Hawaii so I have no love for Spam. Try harder, your act has turned quite stale. Take a bath or something.
