I think there's a good chance Stubbs is on the WS Roster. There's also a good chance there will be nobody left on the bench in the Atlanta games.
On paper the Stros should win this but there've been plenty of World Series where the better team doesn't win. The Braves are very very hot right now and on paper their starting pitching is better than ours. What I've been reading is that both staffs are good at keeping the ball down and getting ground outs. I'm hoping that the Stros ability to string together a lot of hits especially with two outs will carry us through..
IMO we should have Stubbs on the roster ... we always start Maldy and lift him for Castro if he comes up to bat in a high leverage situation regardless of the inning. This leaves us with a backup C in case Castro gets hurt in that scenario
Flying home today for my first game at the Juicebox in almost 20 years. Been to so many road games, but never make it home during baseball season, I am unbelievably excited about this. Let's go Stros!!!
So Minute Maid Park opened in 2000, which means you basically haven't been to a home game since it opened? Do better lol. But that's awesome you get to go to a WS game!!!
Lol, yeah ok so 19 years ... left in 2002, but probably went to at least 50 games those first few years in the Enron days ... kids older now and in a better financial spot to finally make this trip ... believe me, I've had a lot of jealousy watching from afar and having to deal with Dodger fans around me all these years ... haha
We're in 113 row 5. I think I have a few more concerns (you can actually see me in a Getty image when Luis Robert is coming onto the field in the same seats in a throwback Astros rainbow jersey) but I'll buy a beer if you're cool.
