5 for 5 ALCS is not too shabby. Some World Series teams are no longer contenders like Indians, Cubs, Nationals and Royals. At least I know we won't be burning HTown.
Correa ain't gonna be back. And honestly, he's not worth the money he's asking for. I just hope Crane maintains the current payroll and uses the Correa, Verlander, and Greinke money to bolster the starting pitching. We asked way too much of guys like Valdez and Garcia in this postseason.
lol yes, the smallest of silver linings, but a silver lining nonetheless. Brutal way to go out. Looks like no matter who pitched for us tonight, we would have lost. G4 just a tough loss, needed to take both ATL BP games and hope for a poor outing from 1 of Freid or Anderson in G6/7. Oh well. Been a pleasure rooting for them, even if offense croaked at the worst possible time. hope to back at it this time next year. cheers, folks.
Braves and Nationals won in similar fashion. Started the season poor but got hot the last few months and knocked off much better regular season teams in the playoffs to win the WS.
It was a strange season. It was a long season. I will never forget it. Bottom line I think our offense is just too wildly inconsistent and just not clutch enough to win the whole thing. They do get close every year but the offense always shuts down in the end.
I'm not happy with the outcome but they're not as bad as the Dodgers. I also dislike the Braves less than the Nationals, which many of y'all probably disagree with but that's me.
yea. Someone turn the damn heater on in the visitor locker room. Make em sweat. We sure as hell didn’t make them sweat on thr field
I would not break the bank with Correa. Let him walk and spend the money from Correa, Verlander, Grienkie and spend it on SP and hitters.
So apparently we can add ‘Trade for some JAGS and hope they turn into Greek Gods’ as a viable championship strategy
You win 3 you lose 9 (MMP-WS ALL-TIME). Just a tad lopsided. Get an f’ing shrink and fix the mental issues with your own house
As they say, styles make fights. We played a team who feasts on the long ball and our starting pitchers cannot get anyone out. Again, if Ebenezer Crane is not willing to spend the money to obtain high quality starting pitching, this is where we will end up. Look at the starters for the 2017 team: - Verlander - Keuchel - Morton - McCullers 2019 goes without saying. Two HOFs and one great pitcher who may be on his way. Now compare them to this years starters: - Valdez - Garcia - Greinke (?) - Urquidy It's a joke! We know Crane would rather lose than spend money. So don't expect this to improve quickly, unless there is someone in the minors that is going to be the next Doc Gooden or Roy Oswalt.
