Garcia starting worries me. Rookie on short rest doesn’t sound like a good recipe. Even great pitchers seem to never be their selves on short rest. The routine is just different. I hope I’m wrong 100x over.
He better not ****ing put Bregman back in the three hole. You stick with this lineup, especially after the offense finally broke out.
Dusty doesn’t like to overmanage I highly doubt he makes another batting order change. **** worked out great today so why change it
I was just thinking about how much I love Maldy. That strike em out, throw em out last series was boss. And how he just stood almost on the plate and dared the pitcher to throw strikes was super boss. I need to see that whole AB again. It was funny as hell but also beautiful.
I prefer to see Urquidy start game 6… even though he pitched today and have a regular rest Garcia for a game 7
Keep 1-7 the same. McCormick or Siri 8th, Maldy 9th. Maybe swap Yordan and Kyle but if it worked today then why change.
This game had everything I wanted from us. I had a feeling our offense would explode, but no clue what Framber would do. While I would normally believe we are winning this series, the Urquidy not pitching next game is the worrisome thing
The downside is that the Braves saved a lot of firepower for Game 6. They started to concede this game and used Smyly to eat some innings instead of trying to claw back a championship clinching win. Maybe it comes back to bite them... Unless we come out and blast them early we can expect to see their full arsenal on Tuesday. But hey, if we can beat them game 6 then we can beat them game 7. I think we get their best game on Tuesday, either that or they fold under pressure and we roll...we'll see I guess.
Yep. Obviously, Siri or McCormick replace the pitchers’ spot at home with Maldonado moving down, but do not change the top 7. I can see the argument for swapping Tucker and Alvarez, but I’d just roll with tonight’s 1-7 and hope Yordan figures something out during tomorrow’s off day.
Got 6 runs vs Fried last game. Fried struggled his last start vs the Dodgers too. Ian Anderson we just straight up let off the hook
As we've seen a million times before, this group does not go quietly into the night. 14 series for the Altuve/Correa era, all but 1 have been either won or taken to the deciding game.
