This loss isn’t on Dusty. It isn’t on pitching. It’s on our 2-5 hitters batting like they’re blindfolded.
I completely agree. Dude should he benched or at least moved down. My point was just that he obviously is working on hitting in between games cause he’s a pro player.
Batting order can’t stay the same tomorrow. Dusty has to try something new. I’d like to see Siri tomorrow also. Anything to get the energy level back up because they’re just sleepwalking right now.
I’ve stopped short of suggesting that Bregman be pulled. Now I think he should. At least move him to # 7. That dude is completely fried.
If you would have told me the Astros would allow 5 combined runs in games 3 and 4, I’d expect to be up 3-1 or, at worst, even at 2-2. What a horrible time for a team-wide slump. I hope like hell they nut up tomorrow and get this series back to Houston Tuesday night.
I’d take the Bregman suggestion a step further: bench him for Diaz. He is an automatic out right now and the Braves have no fear of facing him. Diaz at least competes in the few at bats he’s getting in the series.

There's only so many times you can poke the bear before you realize the bear isn't going to get up. Are we there yet? We'll see.
It’s partially on Dusty for refusing to acknowledge the elephant in the room and remove Bregman from the third spot in the lineup.
Im telling you its a mental thing. They aren’t feeling the pitches. They aren’t mentally prepared to hit. They are pressing and overthinking if I had to guess what the problem is.
The series is over. Wouldn't surprise me if it ends tomorrow. And I think the offense is the main reason. The pitching limited the Braves to 2 and 3 runs in back to back games in Atlanta, but the offense couldn't get the clutch hits with RISP. I think the Braves' offense is due for a huge game just like the Astros. If you told me the Braves would only score 2 and 3 runs in these games, I'd think the Astros would win at least one of those games, if not both. Houston sports, though.
They got the breaks this game and that's all there is to it. Their two long balls barely went out, and ours was caught blindly. Riley makes a great play on an Altuve smash down the line. And our stars were ice cold at the plate again with runners on. This happens often in baseball and is not necessarily a reason to course correct. Changes to make: 1. Bregman's cold streak is reason to move him down in the lineup. 2. Javier is not a late inning reliever. Use him in the 3-4-5-6 or not at all. 3. Tucker is possibly our best hitter - I'd move him up in the lineup to avoid a situation like tonight where he got one less AB than Bregman. 4. Pinch hitting: Chasmick, Diaz, Siri would be my top 3. MarGo isn't 2017 MarGo anymore 5. Javier-Yimi-Stanek-Maton-Graveman-Pressly can each provide an inning. Give them a full inning to themselves unless it's clear that they don't have it. Other than Javier if he's on, I don't like any of these three pitching, then going into the dugout, and then coming back in the game for part of a 2nd inning. I also don't like burning any of these guys on just 1 out.
