I will say that I do not like the World Series home and away schedule at all. In baseball, it's tough to sweep any amount of consecutive home games, especially 2 games series and technically gives an advantage to the lower seeded team. The pressure on the best seeded team is to win both games of their home games while the road team can get a loss and still survive. Best seeded team loses one at home 1-1 Worst seeded team loses one at home 2-1 This puts all of the pressure of the best seeded team to win both games at home to close it out. I personally think a format of 3-3-1 would be more beneficial. The best seeded team could lose a game and still have the upper edge going into the lower seeded home park. Regardless, I know MLB has an issue of making it work as travel days are limited. It apparently doesn't work well with the NBA format of 2-2-1-1-1 and that's what makes it hard to manage.
