OMFG...my local grocery stores have apparently stopped stocking Crawford Bock! I've been drinking it during games all postseason. What the hell?!? This is NOT the time to break tradition/superstition!
It's raining in the ATL now with more coming from the west. LOL...and no batting practice because it's raining.
World Series Game 3 preview: Astros' offense poised to stay hot Astros (-105) @ Braves (-115) The Astros took Fried to the cleaners Wednesday, and I expect more of the same Friday against Ian Anderson. He enters play with a woeful 5.98 FIP over the last 30 days. Anderson's 4.39 ERA doesn't look nearly as bad, as he has benefited from plenty of luck in that time. Just 20% of the balls put in play against him resulted in hits, which is well below the 30% we'd expect. Anderson's pitching arsenal also profiles horribly against these Astros. They excel against Anderson's two most frequently used pitches: the four-seam fastball (47%) and changeup (31%). https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2197211
or claps, def no banging. The only time I could ever hear it was during the reg season. No one wants to believe it but they admitted it didnt work and that the pitchers were mixing up signs way too much. I guy I work with, LA fan, I told him to find me bangs on YT, any WS home game, he couldnt do it.
Looks like a ball away that he swung at. But John Smoltz keeps telling me that Breg has given up on swinging at balls away completely. I'm not sure if he's right or not but it seems like a poor approach to focus on pulling the ball exclusively. I'd rather have him make contact the other way.
This does not comfort me, Astros always hit poorly against bad pitching, remember? Making 7+ era scrubs look like Pedro Martinez all season long.
