Perfect example to how to make WC even better. Ties and losses are both worth 0. These games are much more intense with teams knowing they have to win to advance.

Also, I like this female ref. She's letting them knock the crap out of each other.

Yes, wish they had beaten us so Spain would also have been out.

Musiala, Harvertz, Sane, Fullkrug deserve better than this Hansi Flick nonsense. Ridiculous.

I guess it's finally time for ALL of the old guard to leave right- ATW and Yung? Neuer, Muller and Gundogan should retire from the national team before they leave Qatar.

This team lacks cohesiveness, chemistry, and grit.

It’s just a random collection of talent right now.

    They don’t have the fight

Germany should have shut up about all this virtue signaling and should have focused on football.

The sorry state of the national team is emblematic for the sorry state of the country.

Apparently it was in but just barely. It doesn't need to touch the line. The entire sphere needs to clear the line but there is still the slightest bit of overhang there. Soccer rules are weird.

For reference this is considered in

I know some channels showed only the ones that had a skewed angle.

Now that you mentioned it, I could have lived with either call.

(One side remark, in that still shot it is not clear if the player's foot was touching the ball or still an inch off)

But if they had some device inside the ball, they know when it was kicked, alright, don't mind me.

They need to change the rules back to when half the ball is touching the line.

Japan showed just how important it is to have players capable of changing the pace of a match when you are the "lesser" team. Gotta get talent out of these comfort zone leagues and on to euro leagues regardless if they are top or not. This is something that mexico has fallen way behind compared to the usmnt.
