Japanese hustled, outplayed Germans technically, also improved physicality.

You have to time the goals in the 2nd half.

There are other options. But they are all mediocre. Our best option is depay, by far. And I am no fan of him....

It is sad to see how bad our offensive players are. Especially with our history..

it was quite scary that the first half, the germans had the ball about 70% of the time

If folks know about sport science, your Stamina drops by the 60-70th minute, now with 5 substitutions you could actually field so many jokers nowadays.

Moriyasu delivered a tactical master class that Silas could only dream of.

literally had japan defense absorb all the attacks in the first just to send in fresh legs to go aggressive in the second. Simple strat, that worked brilliantly

Saw parallels to the Saudi Argentina match, if you can't lead with 2-3 goals it's impossible in modern football to defend a 1-0 and not even Italy can do it often.

Japan lost to Oman at home with the game winner in the 89th minute in the qualifiers and Oman also did well against Germany.

Japan is scary because of their tenaciousness. They won't stop working. Not sure how far that gets them in the tournament but I guarantee they got Spain's attention. Spain's style is one that, if they're on their game, should counter Japan well and make them chase.

Germany is in real trouble. Playing Spain next and possibly going into the 3rd game with 0 points was unthinkable but very real. The talent is obviously there. Something is missing, though.

As crass as it sounds but Canada has a chance against Belgium as well, have to execute well in the end and hope for luck

They have Alphonso Davies and Jon David.

    D must stand strong though.

How long until the German team invaded the Polish hotel to kidnap Lewandowski?

Germany is already out of this world cup. No chance against Spain. Players like Schlotterbeck should have no place on this squad, ever again. So many things wrong, I don't even know where to start.
