So looking forward to tomorrow's game... only ones out of commission would be Valdez and Blanco. Skubal is out of the way, and Detroit's bullpen looks very mortal. Just some tough luck in some well-hit balls.

Detroit didn't have any lineouts or HRs that missed by 1' for a single.

They also got a questionable review that wasn't overturned and no foul balls that missed being a double by 2".

    Detroit got all the luck.

People on the other side of the argument are just as locked in as us. I’m currently texting a buddy who thinking I’m an idiot for thinking the bunt was dumb. It’s such dinosaur ****ing thinking. It’s a joke. And pena is fast which helps avoid double plays. Hitters should be hitting not bunting, 0 outs. Just giving it to them. They got out of that inning with 2 outs. That’s all their pitcher had to do. Get 2 outs.

I'm livid as well. Just a miserable ****ing game. Offense couldn't do anything against a **** Detroit pen or Skubal. Framber put us in a hole early, but turns out maybe not that bad of a hole. Just a crap game.

Considering how the defense would have been closer to 2nd... easily could have been a GIDP the next at bat. The bunt was also perfect, catcher had a good play on it.

Man I 100% thought that ball was going down the line for a bases clearing double when it left the bat lol

That absolutely could happen, but for my sanity I’m gonna hang in. Also seen this team come back from a lot this year…way more than just winning 2 in a row vs the Tigers

    You're the absolute worst man.

Must be impossible to watch a game with you.

Our 7-9 is probably about MLB average. Not sure why you're obsessed with this particular aspect of the team.

    Well that sucked.

If Torkelson is holding the runner that is a game winning 3 run double. All you can do is hit the ball hard.

Tomorrow is another day, but we may not be able to say that again. . .

I was very concerned about watching 3rd strike fastballs, though. It's like the guys out thought themselves.

Pressure now, but this 8s still a winnable series.

I'm working from home tomorrow..but going to be busy in meetings/work sessions from 1 to 5. I don't know how I'm going to be able to focus with the game on in the background.

Royals/Orioles game playing out similarly, accept Corbin Burnes actually did his job vs the pathetic outing by Framber.

We should have been going into the bottom of the 9th no worse than 1-0.

For all those that were calling for the Royals instead, imagine being down 1-0 having to face Lugo and then Wacha. That was my concern. No thank you.

I don't disagree at all, but the downshot of this is this is literally just a 1 game series now. There is absolutely nothing stopping any of that from playing out one more time tomorrow. Our batters HAVE to be better at putting the Tigers pitchers under duress. I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand how exactly they go about doing that, I just know that before the 9th inning, there wasn't a single AB in this game that felt like the Astros hitters were in command. The hope would be that this team is about as battle tested and resilient as they come, and a win-or-go home scenario doesn't scare them. We'll find out in 20 hours what this team is made of.

It's down to Astros' kryptonite, winning postseason games at home.

    Can they pull it off?
