Interesting roster. I wonder why Pedro Leon was left off the taxi squad.

Crazy that Justin Verlander is on the team but not going to start a playoff game. Brutal.

I like Houston’s lineup. I like their SP. I like their 4 late inning RP. I like Arrighetti and Blanco in case they need multiple innings from a RP. Not gonna be stoked to see Ferguson pitch leverage (or especially come in during extra innings).

I certainly had questions about Verlander “starting” in these playoffs, but left off the roster altogether? I don’t know about that. Seems he would value as a middle reliever in a game where the starter gets hit around early

Isn't that what Blanco and Spencer are for?

If the Astros and their medical staff say Yordan is good enough to play. I'm rolling with that. I cannot pretend to know better. I don't really see the merit in others doing so.

Don't think we survive this round without him either.

Why do we have to face the best pitcher in the AL in a 3 game series? I do not feel good about today's game.

Obviously gotta win this game today. Framber will deal… are bullpen will be the difference. Hader needs his A game today.

I don't see him getting much to hit either. Hinch is smart. Yordan is going to see trash all day.

    This is ridiculous.

Oh, you may be right but unless you are secretly in the Astros medical department you have no idea about Yordan's knee.

The Astros have a terrible record of players recovering and getting back in a timely manner or even when expected, but a player coming back BEFORE he's healthy?

They have done the exact opposite.

Astros would have 3 more championships if it weren't for teams that played in the WC round beating them. It's the Astros turn.

No. Detroit has to win this game today.

    The pressure is on them.

The Astros have the pitching advantage in games 2 and 3. It would suck to lose game 1 but they could still even be favored.

If the Tigers lose today they are toast and they know it.

Against the Tigers, with our top three starters pitching to form, I'm not so sure.

And, there's the downside risk...that knee is weak, and he risks structural damage.

Get him ready for the next series, if there is one.

All that said, I hope he rakes and is able to soldier through smoothly.

    Let's go Astros!
