Just what we need. A spring training game. In the middle of August. In the middle of a pennant race. Espada has outdone himself this time. Would love to be inside Framer's mind after seeing this lineup.
In that case, I fully expect to see Montero pitch 3 innings today. Haven't seen him pitch this whole month, wondering if he's in Florida?
I don’t give a **** about Framber’s “mind after seeing this lineup” considering his dumbass was one of the ones pushing hard to not pitch to Diaz while hyping Maldy up instead. So he should be cool with shitty hitters in the lineup. But seriously I highly doubt pitchers are worried about their own lineup, and if that impacts how they pitch, that’s a bigger problem.
Saw this headline just now... I thought the Astros game started at 2pm? Everything to know about tonight’s Little League Classic (7 ET, ESPN)
My comments about Framer's mind was in relation to the defense. In all likelihood we will be lucky to get above 3 runs with this lineup. I don't think that bothers Framer that much. But at first base Desenzo does not look good there. Third base Whitcomb don't recall him even getting a ground ball his way in last night's game. All it takes is one bad play on defense and the melt down or the unraveling is possible. That is usually what sets him off. That or getting squeezed on a call by the ump.
He's looking far better than this same point last year, but let him finish a full productive season before ace'ing him. Framber is still young enough and he's one foolish inning from being an entire run better than Hunter ERA-wise, plus he's a proven performer in the regular and postseason.
