It’s pretty obvious they want to give Meyers every chance early in the season to regain his form and frankly that’s what they should be doing. He’s shown the ability to produce at the MLB level and is coming back from surgery - we shouldn’t just cast him aside. That said, I also think it’s fairly obvious they’re telling him “this is your shot dude, either sink or swim but we’re not waiting forever.” The games mean less right now so the pressure isn’t there like it will be in August and September. I think we call agree this team is better if 2021 Meyers shows up but if he doesn’t in the next month or two my guess is they move on.
