McCormick in and Dubon/Meyers on the bench. Are we happy?

I mean- we hope not. He’s a 36 YO coming off major shoulder surgery. He might be done.

That’s as sexy as it can look under these circumstances.

I'm happy. The 2023 regular season stats are up and working with Alvarez as LF and Hensley at 2B.

I'm sure they knew his situation before signing him. A little delay is insignificant if he's available in September through November.

It’s pretty obvious they want to give Meyers every chance early in the season to regain his form and frankly that’s what they should be doing. He’s shown the ability to produce at the MLB level and is coming back from surgery - we shouldn’t just cast him aside.

That said, I also think it’s fairly obvious they’re telling him “this is your shot dude, either sink or swim but we’re not waiting forever.” The games mean less right now so the pressure isn’t there like it will be in August and September. I think we call agree this team is better if 2021 Meyers shows up but if he doesn’t in the next month or two my guess is they move on.

I'm not a Doctor, but that sounds like they duct taped his shoulder and his aspirin gel caps.

He took batting practice yesterday so I think he is finally trying to get back into playing shape.

I was really wondering why a female used THEE STALLION if it wasn't some kind of statement. Maybe I'm too Texan and still think of Stallions as MALE Breeding Horses.

    Maybe maybe no

Pretty sure they wouldn't have signed him if they thought he had no gas left in the tank.

But you never know. That's baseball baby.
