I guess it’s as simple as Dusty has zero faith in Chas against righties.
Next time we see Chas will be against a lefty.

And then one time a year he would transfer his weight and turn on one and hit it 450 to left CF. He should have done that more. He just loved him that rolled up newpaper soft line drive over the 2b head.

You would think so but Dusty played Jake and Dubon over Chas against lefties all the damn time last season. I’m starting to think he might have a beef against him.

Dusty has not played Chas like a platoon player before against LHPs with Chas getting about 28% of his PAs against LHPs regardless of the situation. Chas did seem to get more CF opportunities last year when GB pitchers (e.g., Framber) played (at least after Brantley went down and before he was playing most days in CF).

What's sad is Meyers was even worse against righties last season.

What has their been to like about Jake during Spring Training? He lazily went after a ball in CF last night that led Andrus to stretch a double into a triple and then Andrus ended up scoring that inning.

This feels a little disrespectful against Chas, his big HR against the Yanks was off Gerrit Cole, a righty.

They are probably just wanting to get Julks an opportunity to play knowing he likely won’t be around long. If he shows well maybe they can draw interest for a trade later in the year.

Dusty and Jake catching hell on twitter. Starting Jake again.

Do better in CF Jake. But he also has no arm.

I don't watch much baseball these days but caught opening day just because. It took me a solid minute to realize it was actually him talking while playing the game. I mean can't he at least be in the dugout half of his inning? A guy trailing off answers to questions like "Oh yeah I like Derek Jeter we...uh... ::concentrates:: ....yeah Derek Jeter he's great."

    Just silly.
