Josh Reddick is nice because he is low maintenance. You can hit him almost anywhere in the line up, he is generally healthy, he is a good fielder and doesn't have any weakness. He is like a lesser version of Christian Yelich or Kevin Bass in his prime. He isn't going to carry you but he is going to do his job. The Astros need a player like that.

Sorry I was operating in the realm of the possible. Judge would look great in our outfield too! Let's get him

Well you don’t need both. One of the two will be fine. Then focus on Clayton Kershaw.

...against LHPs that generally aren't tough on LHBs.

Unless another one snuck in there, and I missed it, his last three home runs at MMP have been crazy artillery shots that hit the train track. I wonder if that's some sort streak the stat monkeys can pull up.

Kemp, Springer, Reddick. There's your playoff starting outfield if everyone's being sensible. Kemp is the one that has to fight for his spot, but lately, he's been the best of the three overall. I hope he gets his due and gets to start every game like the other two. I don't want him platooning with Marwin. Marwin is flaky on offense and defense. Kemp is doing all the right things. He deserves it.

Luhnow put up the Death Star banner on twitter today. Tucker might want to get his bags ready.

If Tucker is called up--who goes down and what happens to the outfield?

    Tucker Springer Reddick
    Kemp
    Marisnick
    Gonzalez

Kemp Davis and Martin traded for Brad Hand. Tucker called up. Marisnick stays.

Angel Hernandez at 1B tonight (he'll be the HPU Saturday), expect this to come up at some point later.

Gattis had a nice manic phase in June. Now he is back to being depressing.

That's true of all but your elite LHB, generally.

Curious where you found that stat though.

By a guy with a crappy move. He just totally lost track of the 2B.
