He is not a good manager. When games are close he usually makes these kind of mistakes.

He also posted it was over when we gave up two runs in the second inning. Some people just to chose to think that way no matter what.

Hinch tried to get Fister a win (5 IP), instead he gives him (and the team) a loss.

After Val did his thing and the bases were loaded for Navarro (who'd had 2 good rips off of him already), Fister should have been out.

Doesn't make sense to me when thinking from the perspective of playing 3rd.

Slow grounder in the hole between 3rd and SS. That causes a 3B to move left towards the grounder. Even after the ball gets by, if the 3B stops momentum, turns, and sprints to the bag, he still won't be turned around and ready for a throw before the runner gets there. Therefore, his only chance is to retreat to the bag while looking at Correa to give Correa an option and make it close.

First off, all three hits were seeing eye singles. Secondly, we can't pull our starters every time after 5 innings.

On the same topic, this is exactly why we need to go get an ace. Right now we have five guys who are essentially a #4 or #5 starter with Keuchel not being himself and McCullers walking 5 per nine.

I just don't see how it's enjoyable to watch a game being pissed off the whole time.

Hinch had a quicker hook Fiers last Saturday in a similar situation in the 5th and the team was up way more runs than today.

When you are facing Sale, yes.
When the pitcher has struggled the whole game, yes.

They've gotten to Sale for 4 already, they're down one in the bottom of the 5th, out pen is great, and dipsh!ts are saying the game is over. They need to stop watching baseball.

Doesn't matter if they were all bunt hits.

He hasn't located well all game.

If men are getting on base, what is the chance he makes good pitches in high pressure situations?

The same people who are saying we've been Hinched...is that the same Hinch that called for bunts that led to runs? Yup, terrible manager

Must be the same people who say that the Astros have regressed under Hinch and that Bo Porter didn't get a fair shake as manager

All the people who give up on the game after 4.5 innings--down by 1, mind you--are also (some of) the ones who gave up on the season 6 weeks ago. Surprising that there's no learning that happens, seemingly ever.

He was also fortunate Eaton foolishly attempted to steal 3rd.

Doug also had a runner thrown out at home earlier. He may've pitched worse than his stats say.

Tmac, forget them, they just don't understand.

Foster going through the third time around in a lineup his numbers are .320 average, .387 OBP and slugging .572, the OPS is .957

Today, out of 7 guys third time around, 5 got a single or a walk.

Those are facts, thats why is was "predictable" this was going to happen.

Like i said, the 5th innings was going to be difficult, Feliz should had been warming up to start the inning, and when 2 got on bases, Fister had to be taken out.

Fister is a number 5 starter with his repertoire, and getting a lead vs Sale should has been good enough.

We just got HINCHED, pure and simple.

It's easy to criticize Hinch in that situation. It was obviously a gutsy call and probably the wrong one.

That being said, people forget that this is a long season and letting Fister work through those struggles, work through a tough situation like that, showing him that he has his manager's support and confidence.. all can have more long term benefits. Fister specifically mentioned Hinch being a big reason for his bounce back season.

People just need to remember being a manager isn't all about tactical lineup and bullpen decisions.

He did. He has all season, but in that inning? He gave up 3 weak grounders & struck out Avila swinging.
