Now I have the image of Paris Hilton travelling with the Dallas Cowboys. Both sides would probably enjoy that package.

WR - T. Owens, R. Smith, Mi. Clayton, J. Porter
    RB - L. Tomlinson, J. Jones, F. Gore, R. Bush
    TE - A. Gates
    K - Kasay, Akers
    Defense - Seattle, Dallas

Yahoo Public League (10 Teams) - 2nd Pick

    QB - McNabb, Plummer
WR - Boldin, Burress, Branch, Porter, Givens
    RB - L. Johnson, Westbrook, T. Jones
    TE - Cooley, Watson

Which team is better in your opinion? And do you think I have a chance to winning either league?

I don't ever keep 2 Kickers or 2 Defenses, it's pointless. You can add that 3rd QB who might turn into a stud, or another WR/RB sleeper, it's a well known trick to give you more options at finding a hidden stud.

Once you get to a Bye week, drop the guy who isn't panning out and pick up a favorable matchup from the waiver wire.

And thus you pick up a D on the bye week. The drop off in fantasy points should not be that much. You don't hold onto two DST, b/c you can get better production out of a sleeper FA pickup. Having two D's is a waste, especially when you have the Bucs D as your starter. You will never use your second D except in your bye week! You can always pickup a FA defense and probably only sacrifice a few fatasy points.

    Wrrrrrrrrrrrong.

Keeping two defenses is a great idea. By about week 4 or 5 you know which teams are offensive garbage, and you can start the correct defense according to the matchup, 99% of the time you're going to score more points by starting the defense that is facing the crappier offense.

Plus if a big move happens (someone gets injured, or traded, etc) you have something you can drop without batting an eyelash to pickup the new stud.

The exception to this rule is if benches are extremely small. But most arent.

Well my last 5 yahoo FF teams have all finished at in the top 3 and I have won 2 titles, and I credit a lot of to picking up guys everyone else slept on. I also got the Chicago Defense off the waiver wire last year and dumped the one I drafted. So I'll stick to my opinon and you can stick to yours.

    Congrats, champ.

But the strat is true. Unless you've got a top 3 D you'd do yourself a favor to just play the matchups.

This strat also works with kickers. If you don't have a top 3 kicker then the rest of the pack are seperated by only a handful of points, so pick up one that is facing a crap defense and start him. He might not go off, but you'll get consistent production, instead of the damn goose eggs.

This is the money league i am in. There is a lot of emphasis on yardage and touchdowns based on Yards. A regular touchdown is 3 points and you get bonus points on how long of a touchdown it is and you get bonus points for 100 yard rushing and recieving games and 300+ passing games. There are no negative points in the league so dont have to worry about INTs etc. So big yardage is a good thing. I had the first pick of the draft this year so heres how it went. I have the picks in order of round that they were selected.

    Total Roster - 15 Players (2 QB, 4 RB, 5 WR, 2 K, 2 DST)
    You have to start (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, 1 DST, 1 Flex)

    1. Larry Johnson - RB
    2. Willis McGahee - RB
    3. Randy Moss - WR
    4. Marc Bulger - QB
    5. Duante Culpepper - QB
    6. Julius Jones - RB
    7. Joey Galloway - WR
    8. Dante Stallworth - WR
    9. Giants - DST
    10. Drew Bennett - WR
    11. Dominick Davis _ RB
    12. Matt Stover - K
    13. Enerst Wilford - WR
    14. Nate Kaeding - K
    15. Bills - DST

I figure with 2 good back in McGahee and Johnson i will start 2 QBs and if i have a by week then i start Julius.

I love the first pick for LJ but hate the fact i have to pick that late in 2nd round.

I was gonna say terrible pick w/ Mcgahee, but he did decent in yards last year (I had him on my team). Since your league isn't as based on TD's, it may be a good pick.

We only have 6 teams in our league so everyone's team looks like an all-star team, but I think its pretty balanced overall. Here's mine: (I had the #2 Pick)

    QB: Hasselbeck, Culpepper
RB: LT, S. Jackson, D. Foster
WR: Moss, Boldin, Roy Williams, Branch, Mason
    TE: Crumpler, LJ Smith
    K: Rackers
    Def: Pitt, Buffalo

Funny that this thread came up, I was just looking over my fantasy roster to decide which positions to work on improving...

    Starters:
    QB: D. McNabb
    RB: L. Jordan
    RB: S. Jackson
    WR: A. Johnson
    WR: C. Chambers
    TE: T. Heap
    K: M. Stover
    D/ST: Patriots

    Bench:
    QB: B. Roethlisberger
    RB: D. McAllister
RB: S. Davis (picked him off of waivers to see what team he ends up on.... might not keep him... but weren't really a lot of quality backs on waivers).
    WR: D. Stallworth
    WR: R. Brown
    TE: L. Smith

Yeah based on the RB's that were left he had done the best on points. By the time it came around to me in the second round after the whole serpentine drafting that was the best available RB....having number 1 then 20 pick suck sometimes...

Keeper league, 10 owners. We get to keep 3 keepers each year. By the way, for anyone who plays with the same group of guys each year, I highly recommend Keepers. Since my league switched to the format 4 years ago, it's increased strategy and enjoyment throughout the entire offseason, as well.

    Las Vegas Big Nasty
    QB Eli Manning
    Favre

    RB Larry Johnson (keeper)
    Cadillac Williams (keeper)
    Mike Bell
    Lendale White
    Laurence Maroney
Priest Holmes (will drop him when waivers start)

    WR Reggie Wayne
    Reggie Brown
    Kevin Curtis
    Roddie White

    TE Antonio Gates (keeper)

    K Jason Elam

    D Giants
