Also, the fact that it's one & done in NFL playoffs vs. 7 game series (outside of the new play-in) means NFL games matter more.
So true…urgency is compelling. My thought is that you need to find a way to make regular season games more urgent in the NBA. One of my favorite seasons ever was the strike shortened season. Guys were playing their ass off!! As opposed to watching Robert Horry walk up and down the court in the 95/96 season and wondering why we were bothering to show up for those games.
Did you have Professor Hawkins or Dr. Pearson at UofH? Those are my guys. They teach Sport Management, but not sure about in the law school. I think Billy was not there in 97. I know Drew was.
Hmmm..I don’t think so. I went to Baylor for undergrad and then UH for law school. I did take a Sports Law class taught by “The People’s Lawyer” Richard Alderman. Steve Patterson was the initial president of the franchise that would become the Texans…he came and spoke to our class about the new Houston NFL franchise and I was so pumped! He also had Randy Hendricks (sp?) sports agent come talk to us too. Great class, and that was my last semester when I was on cruise control on getting the **** out!!!
Not trying to derail this thread (too late!)... I literally saw a picture of CL yesterday... that brotha has aged well... I on the other hand have invested in a good milliner
Nice looking through the Tankathon homepage and have to scroll all the way down to 30th for the Texans Metchie can return punts or X. It'd be cool if they call up King. I have a soft spot for those players that were here through the B.S.
