Akers draft report was he produced decent in college despite terrible offensive lines. Which also got him in bad habit of bouncing carries instead of trusting blocking & vision. But maybe he's just used to running with bad blocking
I thought they flubbed the drive before the last one even without the intentional grounding. They were in FG range and threw on 2nd down. A rush and the clock winds down and you could set up for the FG. Then the disaster IG happened on 3rd down.
I was at the game and so might have had a different reaction than those that watched on TV. In the first half when they went for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the field goal, did it look to you TV viewers like Ogunbawale actually got that first down and was given a bad spot? I was calling for Demeco to challenge the spot on the field but instead they decided to rush a play and I guess hope to catch the defense unprepared, but it didn't work. I would rather them have challenged that and used that challenge time to come up with a more thought out 4th down play if they really wanted to go for it (assuming not overturned).
Definitely thought he got it and Demeco should've challenged it. Also if you're not going to challenge, their was no need to rush it if you're just going to run up the middle into the bunch. Coaching and playcalling needs to be better there.
