Mixon was the best fit for us at a reasonable price. He has been a durable back that is excellent both in the run game and passing game. It is unfortunate he got hurt, but he will bounce back. Henry was not a good fit. He does nothing in the pass game. He is a workhorse type back that has shown regression over the last few years. Baltimore was a good fit for him. He showed in Tennessee last year that he’s not that great at this point in his career without a better than average line. I don’t think our offense is a fit for a power back.
Thank you. Henry mentioned 2 teams interested him in the offseason: Cowboys (he lives there) and Ravens.
Really deserved the national 3pm slot... Packers vs Rams, not even an AFC matchup, getting the Nantz/Romo 3pm slot because of "interest".
Yep. The Texans won't get those 3pm games until they have real success in the playoffs and one person outside of Houston becomes a fan. Having only 1 of those games in the franchise' existence is a pretty stark referendum on how much this team has actually "accomplished" since inception. The Chiefs were a local team, till they weren't. Same goes for the Manning Colts or the current Lions. Even Burrow's Bengals get a touch here/there. The NFL is "market proof" when it comes to teams that have proven to win in the playoffs. Texans gotta get there. (that being said, Packers/Rams is not a marquee game at this point of the season).
lol. Houston is alone in its NFL fandom when it comes to surrounding states. Surrounded by Cowboy fans within the city limits, and Saints fans just east. Titans fans still also lurking somewhere, although every year a good portion dies off via putting mayonnaise in coffee.
Look Dude, this isnt some " I told you attitude"... It's about this being a problem, one that still needs fixing. Don't make it personal. We both want what's best for the Texans. ( just like we need a DT) Again, he handled 60 % of the carries in 2022. 15/ a game... 20+ carries is too much and Ive outlined why in my posts in this thread.
OMG! We have half our starters out. That should make it easier for Josh Allen to run and pass without Harris, Hughes, Hinish, Al-Shaair, and Autry. This is getting like last year with half our offensive line injured. I hope Anderson and Hunter finally have their sack attack this week.
It's hard not to worry unless the backups are as good as all those guys. We had a tough enough time beating a team with one of the poorest rated QBs in the league.
I said that last week. Thought we would destroy the Jags. I'm not drinking during the game but am hoping for the best, and that Anderson and Hunter unleash upon Allen.
