Guy got hip drop tackled. Anyone would be injured.

While an extreme example, still part of the workload...the everyday ask... increased risk as the carries pile up.
We ARE expanding the comfort zone and hoping it holds up.

And, why don't we have a viable back up?

I'll be in Acadia National Park, likely missing this game.

Texans vs Bills really is the marquee match for both conferences at the noon time slot. Lots of eyes will be watching us Sunday afternoon. Also, lol at Jags vs Ponys.

No Shakir for the Bills. That really helps us

    No Mixon. No Pierce. again.
When everything in this scheme derives from the running game, it's time we put some respect in the RB position in the very near future of 2025.
Mixon is 28 and unfortunately Pierce isn't a fit who tends to get hurt too much. The guy we drafted is already 25 yrs old.

Hopefully Dare starts. He’s clearly the best active rb. How does Mixon go from practicing last Friday to nothing this week??

And WHY don’t we have a viable backup? Akers would be out of the league if it wasn’t for us. We already know about Pierce.

I will trade Mixon for Ed Oliver and Shakir being out, I guess.

I will indeed be at this game with a client and my older son. I can assure you I will be in my seat before kickoff, and I will be loud, and Egg Man and Saucy Boy will flourish.

What do we "know" about Pierce? He was fantastic his rookie season, then struggled his sophomore season under a different system.

    What exactly can we "know"?

Most definitely need to address that in the draft next year. Preferably one with some speed.

If slowiks offense depends so much on RB we should have went all out on Sequon

My first choice was Barkley. I think they did go all out on him. He really wanted to play in his hometown like Hunter with us.
Sequon has been hurt more in the past so I'm not going to punish Mixon for getting injured on a banned tackle. Bijan would have injured himself getting tackled like that. sucks. We should be able to borrow any Bears player for a month until Mixon rejoins the team like a loans program for negligence.

What?? By all accounts Joe mixon is totally a workload back. What are you talking about. He had a 250 lb linebacker cannon ball jump onto his ankle. In Cinci he was a 3 down back for YEARS and barely injured.
Stop letting the unfortunate situation fuel your “I told you so” attitude.
