The Off Coverage, why did they think it would work? Someone had to try it on Jefferson and succeeded. I say that because They didn't do this when Cooper went off in the regular season last year. They did do it against the Falcons' to try to hold them off and their QB went into god mode. Said QB is now a 3rd stringer somewhere else. 5 yard cushion is pretty normal stuff. That was like 10 yards at an angle.

Look, stop blaming the coach, CJ needs to audible when he sees a blitz coming, help himself and the team out by changing the play to take advantage of what he sees.

This team needs to grow up......Tunsil makes more excuses than a lying politician, ask the damned ref.......

DeMeco has them playing tough, but NOT smart - in order to win, you need to be both.....

I'm going to need Slowik to explain why he did this. This took us out of FG range on a crucial 3rd down if I remember correctly.

CJ doesn’t have pass blocking responsibilities. That’s on the center.

Coaching also hasn’t given him the freedom to audible to other sets/playbook like a Peyton Manning.

    It’s 100% on the coaching.

CJ’s average 3rd down yesterday was 3rd and 12. The same average down and distance against Baltimore in the playoffs.

All I have seen this year is a regression in our OL.

    2nd down!

The crazy thing is that the play design was for a bigger play action/7 step drop.

That’s called setting yourself up for failure. Do it with a 3 step out route for a first.

They literally slid protection leaving him on an island for a long developing play. That is truly idiotic rookie play calling.

Slowik SHOULD have a lot to answer for this morning. If DeMeco is the CEO of this organization, he needs to be calling Bobby into his office as we speak, having him go over every single asinine decision that was made when coming up with his game plan. From the overall offensive attack, to the blocking scheme, to the play calling, to the execution. It's not about rubbing his nose in it, but it is about vocalizing the issues that are hampering this offense 3 weeks into the season. The mantra yesterday from everyone at the podium was, "It's still early, and it's not time to panic." Ok, well the only way to put that mantra to use is by being PROACTIVE and figuring out the big-picture items that are holding you back so they are no longer an issue for the next 14 games.

And this isn't just about Slowik either. DeMeco himself was absolutely PISS POOR yesterday in pretty much every facet. Why the hell would you give Justin Jefferson a 5 yard cushion on any single play, let alone 5 ****ing times?? Why the hell would you have a scheme that puts Eric Murray and/or MJ Stewart on an island in the red zone guarding the best WR in the league?? Absolutely abysmal performance from this entire team top to bottom. Now it's time to buck up and get focused, get attentive, get mad, and get real.

Same excuse on why he would have Tank Dell run blocking on a goal line run probably.

It's EARLY, but, this team is at a turning point. As I have written earlier, the league got surprised by the Texans success LAST YEAR, but they have had time to adjust. Now the ball is in the Texan's court. Time to ADJUST. If the Texans can't "get clever" and "counter move," it is going to be a long season. I am up for major changes in the offensive line.

Normally, I would enjoy reading lamentations of you Texans' fans, and I enjoyed doom cheering that sad team for many years, but this year feels different.

You were not deluded by having high hopes. This is really a disappointing loss all around, and I think you have to consider that the Vikings might just be a really good team that has hit their stride well before most other teams. They handled the 49ers pretty easily in the previous week.

Calm down it's just one game and Minnesota might be a lot better than everyone thought, but sometimes in football you just know it's not your day as we had some bad bounces yesterday that easily could have flipped the game. I don't even think the defense played bad. Darnold only threw for 181 yards. They just kept getting a short field to work with.

If we play them again I think it'll be very different. Just need to clean up these offensive line penalties and give them some time to gel as a unit.

Seemed like every loose ball bounced their way today.

    CJ first interception.
Darnold a fumble that gets picked up by reciever for positive yardage.
We tipped multiple passes only for them to catch it. Just weird day all in all.

All by Tunsil. There needs to be consequences. He single-handedly ruined the first half of that football game. I’m sick of him being called this great left tackle. I wonder if he has broken the record for most illegal procedure penalties for the first three games of a season. Once it was obviously out of reach, Tunsil should have sat along with CJ. Really stupid to leave CJ out there after it was out of reach. Tunsil has to get it straightened out or we are not going to be serious contenders. If he starts out the same next game they need to pull him for at least one drive to send him a message.

You have to consider trading him. Sure the sacks aren’t being given up but how much of that is offset by the negative plays, bad run blocking, and bad attitude?

Call the Browns! I’d bet they would be willing with their bad OL play and young QB.

Well it seems he's lining up too far back on top of that as well. Also, why are all the other tackles able to figure it out?

“Everybody likes to talk about the negative reps. We had a lot of good protection in the game, where we complete a lot of deep passes through the in the middle of the field. We had a lot of explosive plays that were made, and we had a really good protection. So I don't let a few bad plays dictate of who we are. I know who we are.”
