you can’t be an elite team with these coaching decisions and penalties. Teams like KC, SF and Baltimore don’t do stuff like this. First legitimate opponent and we look clueless on all fronts.

Every time we pass for some good yards the no O line gifts us a penalty.

These penalties are on the head coach. The Texans are pretenders. Penalties have been an issue since week one and not addressed.

Texans are fortunate they're only down 14 after the crappy start -- but a TD out of halftime will probably ice it.

The presnap penalties are devastating and must stop.

Regardless, this game already has an 80% chance of being an L.

After all the offseason hype, Texans look like a 9-8 team.

Indy and Chicago will finish below .500 -- and Texans barely beat them.

The OL can't block a stunt to save their lives. The word is out, and they are getting killed. That and Tunsil's brain-dead play.

lol that play call in the first quarter when it was 2nd and 2 to run a stupid play action ruined that drive. The amount of penalties is unacceptable and players and coaches need to be held accountable. Does any other team in the league have as many wasted running plays as we do? I love when slowik calls a run on 2nd and 12 only to lose more yards.

Ok for how many things went wrong were only down two scores.

The D played much better in the 2nd including getting pressure in Darnold. Need to jam JJ at the line and keep the pressure up.

The O is the big problem. Obviously need to cut down the drive killing penalties. tunsil should sit. Need to be able to recognize the D and not fall for their deception. Stroud should get it out faster. I don’t think they should abandon the run as need to keep the D honest. Maybe try things like draws or screens to deal with the pass rush.

We'll see how we react to a terrible half.

It seems to be when the Texans have momentum. A ref could easily make big money gambling with the way this rule is enforced now.

The announcers have the right of it... stop playing soft zone. Use your corners, let some other player beat you rather than Jefferson. Keep up the pressure on Darnold. He'll make a mistake. Obviously stop getting pre-snap penalties (and they always seemed to be on 3rd down after a completion for 1st down).

This game is still in reach, but Slowik has got to come up with better offensive scheme. The OL cannot afford anymore penalties that kills drives. Be better coaches and Tunsil.

    Let me ask anyone here!

When has Slowik schemed up consistent offense this year?

    Everything is hard.

The offensive line still hasn’t stopped a stunt all year. It’s week 3!?!?

Tunsil needs to be on the bench coming starting the 3rd quarter. He’s dumb to even check with the refs on his illegal formation then gets called for penalties. It’s completely unacceptable.

Yep, it's a trash rule and it gave the refs FAR too much power.

Team has played like garbage but this new 'emphasis' needs to go.

Bobby Slowick being coronated as a head coach in waiting never scanned.

Like I said, they are playing scared! You know who has BALLS in games like this and who don't.

Anybody can play good at home but can they play good on the road??
