If it was ruled a catch, it wouldn’t be overturned…. But if the ball hits the ground, and moves after (which it did), it’s hard to overturn the other way. But maybe the refs or Vegas will influence this… both sides have good reason to do so.
Don't see how you can overturn that without a better angle. The tip of the ball hit the turf and it was loose when he rolled through. Maybe he did get his hand under it, but don't see anything conclusive.
It's a clear and unquestionable incomplete pass, regardless of how it was ruled originally. If it's called a catch on reply it's clearly something beyond just the play, regardless how it was called.
Tank and Metchie have well documented separation issues in the short/intermediate routes. This isn’t like they’re calling plays only for those other guys.
CJ’s thrown a lot more INTs this year too, which may have made Slowick more leery of calling more aggressive end zone shots. But the numbers definitely support it, CJ has had very mediocre numbers this year. Last year it was normal for CJ to throw 2-3 passing TDs every game and this year I don’t remember the last time he had even 1 or more passing TDs.
Anthony Richardson is currently 9/19 for 90 yards with 1 TD and 2 INT. Against the Patriots. That’s the starting QB of the only serious competition in the division.
