More stressful than it had to be, but I'll take it. Texans are the worst red zone team I have seen in a while. It is like they don't know what to do. Plus, going for a yard in the rezone two times in a row was just stupid. Kick the field goal, take the points. Still think the team could do better than Caley.
That was an excellent, excellent win. Anyone who wants to complain or thinks otherwise needs a new hobby. Texans win. **** you colts. Loved the Stover tush push plays. We just went to it to many times. Now that we’ve run that and it’s in the bag, need to start mixing in some counter sweeps off of it. CJ looked really solid after the bad INT. I did feel like he was looking down the field more today, there were times when I was screaming for him to take the quicker throws underneath but overall very solid. Finally some CJ/Nico action. Another outside run on goal to go and it works. Please more of that. Woody with ice in his blood on that last first down run. He’s making a habit of those physical unexpected runs. On defense, I felt like we left Lassiter isolated too much on Pierce. He was getting burnt even when it didn’t work. Didn’t disguise some of those blitzes well. But hard to argue with the final result. I really don’t understand why Taylor wasn’t used more today. He’s was basically 5 yards or more felt like 80% of the time he touched it. Texans have done what they needed to do. Time to close down the stretch. If the offense continues to make strides, it seems the defense is going to keep us in every single game. What a day and what a way to cap off a brilliant Thanksgiving weekend. ETA (how can I forget), the penalties were getting absolutely out of hand in the first half. We did get absurdly lucky with the non delay of game call and the pass interference in the second half. Those were whoa… but I’ll ****ing take it. **** those refs anyway.
It's pretty clear how important Tank Dell and Joe Mixon were to this offense. Tank was able to get open against anybody and Mixon would give you the tough runs in the red zone and grind it out at the end of the game.
Oh whatever bro. They’re awesome but they’re also the A+ student that turned into crackheads at the end of some games. Hell, the 4th and 27. The 3rd and 19 today. This **** keeps popping up. They deserved a certain amount of criticism when they got it bc they are held to a higher standard.
It’s a CF tradition of combining contrarianism with immediate recency bias while missing the entire broader context along the way.
I wanted us to draft him. He was my QB choice. I'm just disappointed in year 3 of our offense. Not saying he doesn't have good moments. I hope for no picks next week unless it's Mahomes.
I especially get why people hate the titans. Understood. I personally hate the Colts far more bc I had to watch that ****er Peyton manning just toy with us for years and years. He’s out, they go like 1-15 and their one win was against the ****ing Texans late in the year right after we clinched our first playoff birth. Then those absolute ****s get gifted Andrew Luck, who stole a first round bye from the 2012 Texans and was then a thorn in our side until he unexpectedly retired. No matter what the Colts remain a complete thorn in the side. I can’t stand them. They can lose every single game by 40 for the next decade and it wouldn’t change my PTSD.
By the way… the Colts and their former players are absolutely crying all over Twitter right now. It’s actually hilarious. I’m not one to troll but just asking these big follower accounts that are supposed to be unbiased why they are only upset about that one PI. People can say what they want… but a bad PI against a Texans defense is infinitively more damaging as teams struggle to move the ball on them. I’m enjoying the pain. Now, time to remove the Chiefs from the playoff conversation.
Hate meter: Chiefs Titans Colts Jags Pats Raiders/Bengals ... Don't really care about the NFC but: also Cowboys
Steelers can send a tackle-eligible in motion across the formation, then send him back to be the lead blocker on a goal-line TD up the middle....and nobody on offense lined up or moved incorrectly. So I now know it can be done.
