Both those games AT HOME Then there's the +3 turnover game vs Green Bay. The Minnesota game made the Texans seem like pretenders -- and the season has pretty much continued that way.
He doesn't seem to understand the concept that you can also pass to set up the run. Spread them out and make them thinner to defend the pass so then you can run draw plays and exploit it. He seems hopelessly focused on rushing yards as if he's betting the over every game or something.
Texans may miss the playoffs and at this point I hope they do. They are doing nothing in the Playoffs anyway and we need to clean house in the offseason.
The Texans are a very odd team, it sounds crazy but they could end up beating KC and/or the Ravens. They are just a really odd team. The defense is capable of shutting great teams down as we've seen with the Bills and Lions. They are a crazy team because they are capable of beating anyone and then losing to anyone.
we've had a lot, but this is the most disappointing and frustrating game thus far. you cannot lose this game - to a bad 2-8 Titans team. 30 points? and it could have been more. the titans continued to give you the ball... Texans lacked energy, execution, and another game where they looked out coached. o-line is still awful. offensive play calling terrible. someone has to be of blame for CJs regression. im starting to lack confidence in demeco. get what you can out of this year, knowing it is still way too early to be considered one of the best, then fix the issues in the off season.
Demeco was a reason for optimism for me. I no longer feel that way. I don't think he's a bad coach, but I don't think Bill Obrien was a trash coach either. But he was a stubborn POS and nobody liked him, and he sucked ass as a GM. I never said we should fire Demeco, but I no longer place blind faith in him, and I've seen a lot of Texans teams, good and very bad, and I don't know that I've every seen a team play as sloppy as this year's Texans. The execution is pathetic. One step forward two steps back. Get a first down, run, run, sack. Get a pick 6, give up a pathetic 75 yard touchdown to blow the game. While Slowik deserves plenty of blame, Demeco is the HC, this is his fault. He can't hide behind his defensive playbook acting like he has no culpability for the rest of the team. I am certainly open to having my mind changed about Demeco, which is why I said, as of now.... I want him to succeed, but just seems like a lot of the same ole BS, but with a new Texans flavor of incompetence, and breath taking discipline and execution issues. This shows up in wins and losses. It's not just about failing to meet expectations, it's how they are failing. The absolute incompetence. Unless he gets a job elsewhere, Slowik is here to stay. You can bank on that ****.
Callahan called a heck of a game, the run plays were a thing of beauty and he made Levis look competent
