Pretty encouraging. Never wanna overreact to the first game of the season but we had so many 3 and outs the last couple of years it was so hard to watch. Hopeful for our future

I thought rushing/passing defense would be measured by yards per attempt

At one point my son said, “I don’t know that I’ve even Stingley in this game so far, so he must be kicking ass.”

Meanwhile Sauce struggled, and still holds on most plays. I made sure to watch him closely during MNF, he couldn’t hold Diggs. He also exclusively plays on the left side of the defense. The sauce over Stingley takes won’t survive the season

This was entirely predictable once Stingley got put in an actual NFL defense, one that also plays to his strengths

Was trying to say this last year when everyone was ready to crown sauce the better pick. He was definitely better than Stingley last year, and a great pick. But I wanted to see stingley in a defense that he would thrive in before we wrote him off.

Did the giants lose some FA? Or have some injuries? Were they this bad last year? I don’t know much about their team but seems abnormally bad. Maybe cowboys D is good too? Ugh.
