Have BOB do his job and call a timeout there and they have a chance to check it, but when you have an incompetent head coach, that's the kind of thing that happens.
Instead of going for 1st, he decides to run the ball to take time off but he doesn't realize 30 seconds isn't going to matter with Brady, he'll score either way. Only way to avoid it would be to get a 1st down but he it's too risky for him. He simply doesn't learn from his mistakes..
I remember Lechler having to tell O’Brien to throw the challenge flag...maybe they should bring him back as a challenge/ review coordinator.
They treated Watson like he was an established veteran during the preseason. He needed more playing time to get back into game shape. This half was his preseason warm up.
Just imagine the amount of ineptitude that had to take place for the Patriots to get 7 points before the half: 2 penalties coming out of the 2 minute warning 2 plays that don't do anything for field position 1 punt blocked BOB doesn't call a timeout after Gronk drops the pass Then, 12 seconds left, down a bunch, BoB kneels and doesn't even try... BoB is not a good coach.. he is awful. BoB trying to ruin Watson's career..
