I’m not young and wrestling has never been my thing. I’ve never actually watched a wrestling match per the phonies. Hulk Hogan battling Rocky in Rocky III is as close as I’ve gotten. LOL
https://m.startribune.com/when-nature-boy-calls-a-baseball-player-hangs-with-his-hero/557876861/ If the pay wall goes up, Reddick always used the 'woooo!' of ric flair rather than walk up song like most people do. Ric flair was a wrestler.
He's still on pace to earn his salary this year which isn't much and doing better than the most popular alternative mentioned in the offseason, Avila.
10 games in, not counting today I'm assuming... Diaz since coming off the DL: .295 .311 .568 .879 (45 PA) Altuve, same timeframe: .298 .327 .468 .795 (49 PA)
It certainly does… but Stanek had been showing some more consistency and as of last week, Dusty was able to use him to close when Graveman faced the heart of the order in the 8th. best thing about all the new acquisitions is that it can avoid overusing some of these guys which was a big problem earlier in the year (fatigue/availability).
Wild guess on how Dusty gives Altuve the day off: POS L/R/S PLAYER OBP SLG OPS+ DH L BRANTLEY, Michael 379 477 137 SS R CORREA, Carlos 364 471 130 LF L ALVAREZ, Yordan 348 525 139 1B R DIAZ, Aledmys 333 472 121 RF L TUCKER, Kyle 339 523 135 CF R MCCORMICK, Chas 308 489 117 3B R JONES, Taylor 214 262 32 2B R WILSON, Jacob 143 143 -19 C R MALDENADO, Martin 276 317 65 BENCH 2B R ALTUVE, Jose 349 494 131 CF R MEYERS, Jake 0 0 -100 C L CASTRO, Jason 326 318 81
Anyways, with last night's win I think it's safe to say... WE'RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES AGAIN!!??!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pitchers are divas by nature typically and routine helps them. That said, Stanek's problems in late May and June look like fatigue/tired as he had a defined role at that point. It could have also been his mechanics got out of whack for no reason.
Altuve day off.. Bregman still on one leg.. Dusty better get ready, Oakland is firing on all cylinders 3 games back.
