Did Dusty not realize it was a tie game? Did he think we were up by one? What is the bullpen plan going forward?
Dusty cannot think ahead to save his life. This is the third game I can remember when he burned his only reliable swing-and-miss pitchers before extra innings and the ghost runner
Yeah, I heard that the first two times he took that gamble and lost. You have two reliable closers. Save one for the really hard situation.
Is Dusty purposely trying to lose these games? Why bring in Graveman and Pressly in a tie game and then bring in the guy w a 5 ERA w a runner on 2nd? I’m over the Dusty era. Great guy but can’t see the forest for the trees.
With bunting going the way of the dodo, and hitters consistently just trying to go the other way in extras (to advance the runner at 2nd), I’d go ahead and walk the first batter (moreso if its actually a good hitter)… and dare the hitters to try and bunt or a ground ball possibly gets you a DP. Or you can just give up one run… pray you get it back… and keep going.
Well If we can’t score here with our 3-4-5 hitters and Altuve on 2B to start then we deserve this loss
