    Holic = Rockets
    Bobby = Texans
    Cangerjero = Astros

    Looks like all Houston teams are covered by a dunce within the BBS. At least Holic has valid insights and keeps it out of the game threads.

    That's the thing, if he would just post his crap in the threads he starts himself we could all have good baseball discussion here like we used to

    He ruins the damn game threads every single day though. Frustrating cause this was a great place to talk baseball

    I'll take the other two every day of the week and twice on Sunday... vs. the guy in here.

    While they make polarizing/repetitive takes... there's at least a coherence and legitimate flow to their posts.

    They're also pretty consistent on their views.

    I'll take a crazy person.. provided they're consistent... over the sane but bipolar takes in here.

    Dont worry, i think they did the right thing as is not Astros related.
    Once we are all in the playoffs, then it will. Still, I think KC needs to worry a little bit with the way Cueto is pitching, he is struggling and they need him to be a real number 1 starter for the Royals to go deep in the playoffs. Today, he struggled, again.

    I think Hinch said that it was an easy call, but the Twins did it so K had to wait a long time on he mound before he faced the next hitter. Can the process be change a little so this things don't happen? For instance, the ump gives the ball to the pitcher in 30 seconds, or 1 minute, i don't know, and if the pitcher throws a pitch, then you can't argue the call. But is not fair for the manager to stay 2 or 3 minutes playing dumb as tactics freezing the pitcher.

    As you guys know, i am critical on Hinch for some of the moves, but i have to give credit when credit is due, and is by playing Lowrie in the second spot in the lineup. In my lineup Marwin would had hit in the second spot and Lowrie fifth. By Lowrie hitting second, he hit the grand slam that gave us the lead that we would not relinquish.

    So, i have to give him a lot of credit on that.
    Second, i also agree with 8 of the 9 hitters in the lineup (only disagreed on GAttis and no Tucker), and thought we were going to score at least 4 runs. Also, he did good letting K pitch the 8th inning, and using Qualls with that big lead.
    Also agree on using Gregerson when he did, as we needed to win this game. All the pinch hitters and pinch runners that he used worked, so i have to say he did a very good job.

    Now, Molitor, i think he made a major mistake by not using Cotts in the 7th for only 1 hitter.

    Today Hinch outmanaged Molitor.

    Like i say, i will say the GOOD, the bad and the ugly

    Well, i receive a warning for starting a thread about KC having issues and problems with the rotation and bullpen.

    Well, i think moderator is trying to please some of the guys on this forum that want me banned, and as i have not insulted any of them, this is the way to do it.

    I am going to give you my opinion, a forum is going to be great when they allow people express themselves as they wish. Just because is different, or strong does not mean is wrong. I love the USA as it is a nation that truly believe in free speech, and many people has given their life in wars defending that free speech.
    The beauty about free speech is that you have the opportunity to listen, or just ignore. Look, today i ignored some guys on the forum because were personal with me, and they don't talk baseball, and i dont care about that, i dont come here for that childish arguments, i come here to talk baseball, in my own way. After i ignore them, is very easy to follow the thread and baseball topics, so why don't they do the same with me? Just ignore me. When was the last time you've seen Beard talk baseball in an astros game thread? He does not talk baseball and just complains if we are negative and so on. But when we won 2 days ago, and some of us posted ONLY positive things because we won it easily, 8 to 0, he was NOT there with us.

    Baseball is a sport that is great to talk about. And there are so many things to talk about. Example, Lowries homers, it was not a fastball, why that pitch? Only with that pitch we can talk for a long time, why Molitor took the pitcher, why not bring a lefty, instead a righty, baseball is a beautiful sport to talk about, but SOME here just don't like that, they only want to hear how great our team is and nothing else, and if we complain then they get personal with us.

    I will obey and will NOT start any other thread as i see what the moderator is doing, and is trying to banned me because members are trying to do that with me.

    I will continue to talk baseball, and any one that insult me i will just look at the ignore button, and use it.

    I will not reply to them, and just ignore them.

    If the moderator wants to banned me for talking baseball in a strong way, he can do it, that is his prerogative and i can't do much about that, and will respect the decision, but if they do, i know they are wrong.

    This is one of few forums where you can talk baseball, is a pity that some use it to complain about forum members and get personal attacks when i only talk baseball. Different is not bad, we have to learn to respect our positions, even in disagreement, especially when you have the power to just "ignore" what you dont wish to read.

    The moderators don't have to "try" to ban you. They can just do it.

    What I don't get is the complete and total inability to recognize one's peers and surroundings and thus act acooooooordingly.

    That homer will not be forgotten for many years, but there is a name not to be forgotten, Valbuena.

    It started with men on first and second, a good bunt but he made a great play getting the lead runner at 3b, no way Carter makes that play.
    Then, in the 7th, with Gomez at 1st, and 2 outs, gets a single to LF, and Molitor takes the starter out (I think a mistake). Then Tucker walks, Altuve infield hit, and then the homer.

    Everyone is going to remember Lowrie, but Valbuena was BIG in the game with the glove, arm and bat.

    Baseball is beautiful, every pitch counts.

    He's thoroughly sucked the fun out of wins.

    Makes losses 10x worse.

    Gonzalez with 9 HR, Lowrie with 8, and Marisnick with 8.

    If one of them gets to 10 we tie the record, if 2 do it, we set the record for most players with double digit HR's. Interesting little thing to watch. We are unlikely to have anybody hit 30, may not even get a guy to 25. Power by committee this season

    Buck posted a stat yesterday about how the Astros are the worst team in the league at generating "productive outs"... but what I wanted to know was who the leaders were, and how it correlated to both runs scored as well as overall standings.

    Runs do = wins... (along with run good differential usually = good record)... so if this is the "best" way they can generate their runs, with this sort of personnel, its what they have to do.

    I do expect things to eventually be more balanced (as some of the unproductive dead weight gets cut), but there will always be a role for the all-or-nothing hitter on this lineup (provided they aren't as completely useless all-around as Carter was).

    Lowrie has display a lot of power the 2 years he has played with us. So far this year he has 8 homers in only 190 plate appearances, a very nice ratio. He should do it.

    Marisnick is not playing much, but he was always known as a potential 5 tool player, so it would not surprise me if he does it, but then again, he needs to play more.

    Gonzalez, on the other hand, is a guy that hitting 10 homers as a part time player is a surprise. He is the kind of player that will hit 12 if plays regular, but half playing as part time player, so the 9 so far in only 305 at bats is a surprise. (That translate into 17 to 18 homers in a year if he plays regular).

    Hopefully the 3 guys do it.
