So who wants to tip jar bet on Carter hitting a homerun today? 5 dollars says he does!

Impressive play from Mauer to rob Marisnick.

Twins broadcaster Jack Morris actually had the gall to say "the rule says tie goes to the runner". There is absolutely nothing in the rule book that says that.

Altuve should have been called safe. Great play by the Twins 3B though. 2nd straight inning to end on a good diving play.

Looked like the same play from last night's 9th inning where the Twins' runner was called out and the call upheld.

Based on that still, it looks like Altuve is hitting the base as the ball is still a bit away from Mauer.

Nice to see other managers do the same thing. Altuve beats out a softly hit infield single, Carter bloops a hit off the end of the bat - whoops, time to take out the pitcher.

    Exactly. That's not a position.

Just watched the game on fast forward after knowing the outcome; Dominguez's AB in the 7th killed any chance the Stros had, he handed them a gimme b.s. way out of that inning.

Not that my opinion means more than anyone's:

    Fowler (obp skills)
Altuve (best hitter, gap power, Fowler can score from 1st)
Carter (patient, swings and misses, doesn't hinder Altuve's running game)
(if Springer was around, he's 3 and Carter 4, maybe or maybe no)
.Castro (really because there's nobody else)
    .Dominguez (same reason)
    .Marisnick
.Marwin (really because there's nobody else)
    .Grossman (if Springer's not around)
