Ensberg looks horrible at the plate. He takes too many damn pitches. I never seen someone change his batting stance so many times. Lane sucks. Trade him right now and call up Scott or Jimerson.
Springer Spaniel effing SUCKS! & he always has. & he always WILL. He's a disgrace to the uniform. The D-Backs cut both Ortiz & Mulholland today ... BOTH, better than Springer. & how long do you think it'll take Drayton to realize that if he has ANY chance of challenging, he must aquire another bat. A BIG bat. They knew this Liriano guy was gonna muffle our sponge bats before the game even started! & girl you know it's true.
Wow, ESPN is going to jump all over this. Same old astros, zero run support spoils Clemens' debut. .....please make me wrong. I beg you stros.
Actually, they're going to be all over Liriano... and they should be. The guy is 22 years old, a lefty, throws 97, has a plus slider and changeup, and he gets to learn from the current BEST pitcher in baseball in Johan Santana. The league is obviously going to get a book on him... as they do all the great pitchers... but for now, nobody knows what's coming, and he's just dominating with that facet. Kinda like Oswalt in 2001.
Thank you. It was heartfelt. Very. We're a good team, but not a great team. Far from it. We need more, if just a little. & how many times is this dork from ESPN gonna call Lane, Lamb? It's getting old. You'd think Morgan would lean in the next Coors Light commerical & say "Dude, quit calling Lane, Lamb." BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
If he pulls it like he normally does, it is out... that shoulder injury probably sapped some strength that hasn't returned yet (at least he didn't K looking).
Just got back from the game. It was packed tonite and the atmosphere was great. That Liriano kid is nasty, the Twins can be dangerous with him and Santana. Cant believe that the Cardinals got swept and the Reds are still on the skids and we cant make up any ground.
Lets just consider ourselves lucky that we didn't lose any ground. The WC (and possibly the division) is right there for the taking... this year is starting to remind me of 2003, where all the Central teams were bumbling around (and meanwhile, the Cubs stole the division).
