We may have a new record: SEXTUPLE postings on 1 page, of articles that more or less support DJT, in the "Trump for President" thread by someone who claims they will never vote for Trump. @basso, you're on the clock
@Os Trigonum looks like you can tap out once @basso gets here to pick up the slack... I'm gonna stay mostly on the sidelines for the prosecution until Tuesday.
lol people misinterpret my motivation in posting here. I simply think Dems have miscalculated here and have once again basically given Trump what he wants. That’s not necessarily “support for Trump” but rather an observation of what I believe is likely happening. Add a viable third-party candidate (or more than one) to splinter the Democratic support for Biden in 2024, and you’re looking at a scenario where it’s possible for Trump to regain the White House because of his constantly supportive, rabid and newly re-energized base. But Dems and progressives are just a little too busy celebrating and gloating right now. When Trump’s trial gets delayed, Dems may belatedly wake up and realize this might have been a mistake. Time will tell.
Isn't it funny how the Saudis, Russians and chinnese all want trump back into office? Yet somehow the low iq MAGA @bigtexxx @Salvy and others are brainwashed into thinking people are afraid of trump or scared of him. Trump didn't scare a damn nobody. People played him like a fiddle I've never seen a group more dumber than the MAGA.
I don't beleive indicting him is a political move. It wasn't Democrats that did it. If it helps or hurts Trump politically isn't relevant to the case.
The thing I don't understand from these right wingers is none of these chargers are from January 6? If dems wanted a political prosecution they would've charged trump for January 6. These charges are AFTER trump lied on a subpoena. Trump would never have been charged with anything as long as he just complied. I don't get how it's political. What are these people smoking
I’m sure Trump will drag this out. I fully expect this trial to be delayed. As for this being a mistake there is something called principle and the principle here is rule of law. So far almost all of the defense presented I including what you just posted isn’t about principle but about politics. If we accept that then we might as well never prosecute anyone running for office.
Your statement is fine without the word Dem. People often assume Dem made this happen. That’s a misunderstanding of the DOJ operation. A stronger assumption is for this to NOT happen, Biden has to personally intervene and tell the DOJ to not investigate. That would be interfering with an independent agency. I think the indictment isn’t going to change much of anything but if it does, it’s an overall negative for Trump. But unless there is a clear impact, we will never know since polling can never capture minute changes in an extremely complex political world with multiple variables at play. I’m however sure claims will be made either way.
