Bought 6 sets. Selling 3 sets for massive profits. Holding on other 3 sets to pass on to my kids. If folks here would look past their unreasonable hate for this man, they would have realized a massive opportunity here, not just in terms of supporting someone who had their election win taken away from them unfairly (I always always support victims), but also as a solid investment opportunity. All sold out now. You missed your opportunity.
I bought commemorative silver plated Trump coins on Jan 7th because I knew how limited edition they'd become. Plus he's old af and morbidly obese, which adds immediate upside to the investment, if you catch my drift...
LMAO. You seriously still believe the election was stolen? Good grief. The only ones who would support a con, criminal, and traitor are those like you or those government leaders he probably tried to sell our nation's secrets to. He should be in prison.
Tl;dr Donny printed fake digital baseball cards and gave only the "rare" ones to himself without telling anyone. For a scam like digital art collecting to work, you gotta let some of your rubes "win"...
Trump NFTs are not art. Unless you consider grifting an art form. These $99 trading cards are laughably bad. That’s the whole point. https://www.washingtonpost.com/arts-entertainment/2022/12/17/trump-trading-card-nft-art/ excerpt: People laughed at Duchamp’s urinal, and they are laughing still at its descendants, which can be found in galleries and art markets around the world. This isn’t to argue that Trump’s ART is art. It isn’t. What matters here is how laughter defines community and how closely Trump’s attempt to market amateurish iconography parallels the way artists, critics and collectors have used laughter to establish the boundaries of the art world. Simply put, if you can’t take Duchamp or conceptual art seriously, you are a philistine, by the definition of the art world. It proves that you are unwilling or incapable of a basic set of thought exercises and mental calisthenics that are essential to the appreciation of contemporary art. One of the hallmarks of Trump’s art, and the work of other artists who have attempted to market Trump imagery as art, is the expectation that elites will laugh at it. Those who laugh are immediately outsiders to Trump world, where a taste for the tawdry is established as a fundamental shibboleth of loyalty and belonging. Call it inverse philistinism: the use of intentionally bad imagery, perhaps with a wink, to create an “us-them” dynamic. . . . more at the link
It's a well written article, but in the end, it literally depicts Trumpsters in the same way that Juggalos felt about themselves 20 or whatever years ago. And he's not wrong, to be honest. The problem with reading it the way you said you did, is that there are some Trump supporters that will have lost a bit of money on these. And let's face it, to many of them, $99 (plus gas fees) is a lot of money. The other issue, which the author nails, is that the Trump campaign is desperate to perk itself and its people up again. He says this is the only hope, essentially, that they have. It's true. In the end, he doesn't really call it out as owning the libs. He calls it out as a desperate attempt to stay relevant and to unite the base in jest. It's not like it's a pro-Trump article.
lol. play stupid games, win stupid prizes Trump criticizes evangelical leaders for not backing his 2024 presidential bid https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/18/politics/donald-trump-evangelicals-2024/index.html
This was always going to happen. Evangelicals sold themselves for the silver of USSC appointments to a man who faith means nothing. Spiritual faith, marital faith or even contractural faith. Evangelicals made all sorts of rationalizations that Trump was a “baby Christian”, Modern Cyrus the Great, Solomon or some other Biblical figure who had great appetites but saw the light. Trump never saw the light and there was never a road to Damascus moment for Trump. In Trump world the only one to be worshipped was him and for Evangelicals to prostrate themselves to him amounted to the very moral relativism and idolatry that the proclaim to be infected modern society.
