That's glaringly obvious. He even said so himself.

Trump's ownly principle has been what benefits himself and his family. He's pro-free trade when it benefits him. He's anti-free trade when it benefits himself. He's for government spending when it benefits himself. He isn't when it doesn't. etc...

I kind of disagree. I feel it is almost the inverse at the local level. From the politicians I have known and worked with at the local level, they almost all seem to be doing it because they have a genuine concern about the issues and want to help. I feel like that lessens or changes the higher up they go. However, even still, I believe that there are politicians at the national level who are there because they have a genuine dedication to civics and want to make a difference.

Also, I believe that there is a range where someone might be 75% doing it for desire to do well and 25% because they want the ego-stroke, or broaden their financial horizon. That ratio can change for sure.

He's a parody of a politician. He'll sit there and say his supporters are stupid and love him no matter what...and they go apeshit.

Build the wall wasnt even a real policy...he ad libbed it and everyone ate it out of his hands like a well trained dog

Poor guy. You're finally starting to see the big picture.

Eventually you will realize the primary reason people like Trump is because he endlessly antagonizes liberals.

Any objective person knew the border wall was going to expand at the same rate as it has for decades.

He's not a Democrat nor a Republican, he's an autocrat who wants everything for his benefit over anyone else's. He has no values or beliefs. He cares for no one. The only reason he puts his family first is because he sees them as an extension of himself.

That is pretty obvious that much of Trump's support is because he owns the Libs.

That's a pretty sad reason to support a politician on and speaks volumes about what is wrong with our country.

He doesn't own anybody. He's just a man blowing hot air and hate towards anyone who doesn't share his mindset or kiss his pompous ass.

It isn't around here that it's lingering. It's the Republican party where it is lingering.

Thats a pathetic reason to vote for someone. Basically the equivalent to throwing a temper tantrum.

Well Trumpism isn’t exactly just “lingering” around your party. Given how the party even without a majority and without the presidency is able to govern in a hard right autocratic sense from the Supreme Court and is able to sabotage good governance through corruption in Congress Id say Trumpism is doing far more than just “lingering” around.

Trump himself is only still discussed because people like you when polled overwhelmingly state you are voting for him again. You stop doing that as well as attending his rallies, putting his flag in your yards, his name on bumper stickers, etc etc etc. then we’ll be talking about him a whole hell of alot less.

Lastly where were you on impeachment in January of 2021?? Did you support impeaching him because that would have been your parties opportunity to remove any relevancy he had by taking him off the ballot in 24 and beyond. He’s still discussed because of you. I don’t want to talk about him anymore than the next guy and the real threat is the billionaires who dictate what the Ginny Thomas court forces on the American people. Trump like Clarence Thomas or Ted Cruz or whomever is just a foot soldier for those people in the end anyways.

I attended a Paul McCartney concert awhile back and while everyone was singing John Lennon’s Give Peace a Chance later on I thought about America in 2016 and how the Trump movement was basically 40% of the country singing in unison “All we are saying…. Is give corrupt autocracy a chance!!”

Everyone knew what Trump was about but they did it anyways because they didn’t believe in America anymore and it was their attempt to destroy and remake it under a strongman ruler that would make them feel like they were not only represented by that strongman who told them they were superior but would punish those in society they feel like the old American system has allowed to become too equal.

It has always been about one thing and one thing alone in the end… white supremacy. Corrupt autocracy was the power play they all wanted in order to fundamentally change the American system by destroying it from the top. It’s one hell of a temper tantrum but one that is centuries in the making and has been there since John Adams.

At the inception of this country there has always been part of our population and our representatives that fundamentally believe that their race is superior and even for a good chunk of it believed that one race could even own another race… but the MAGA movement is the first time in a long time, maybe since the Civil War, that the right has all in unison sang loud and proud about how awesome it would be to destroy the United States of America and remake it as a corrupt autocracy all in the name of white supremacy.

LOL. I’ll be charitable and assume she just misspoke and didn’t mean to say “white life”.

If she did, the implication is she only cares about “white lives” that she thinks were saved and not other lives that might be saved. Or perhaps she thinks that only “white” fetuses count as life. Either way, not good.

True, blacks lives matter about a quarter of a white life.
