What specifically are you having trouble understanding? Wealth is increasing rapidly in this country by any measure. Yet the average Joe isn't getting any of that. You can rationalize it anyway you like. But the point is that it has nothing to do with inflation and the trend goes all the way back to the 1970's.
In the meantime it seems like Trump has disappeared off of the campaign trail. I get it that you should never get in the way of your opponent imploding but this is the same Campaign that was accusing the Biden campaign of hiding in a basement.
The political news since the debate has consisted almost entirely of calls for Biden to drop out for being unfit to serve as President and desperate shills trying to claim nothing is wrong and he actually won the debate (see Harry Sisson). If you are in Trump's camp, you don't want to do anything to shift the coverage until it stops favoring you.
Its not about rationalizing anything. The wealth increase as a country vs the individual are not directly correlated. There are massive factors that have ebbed and flowed over the last 50 years. And using broken measuring sticks like GDP vs CPI doesn't help with anything. Nothing is linear. Here are some factors that drastically change the picture: -We live in a globalized market. People from all over the world can invest directly into companies from other countries much easier. This gives the appearance America is much wealthier, but the reality is the stock market boom is driven by the entire globe. This certainly doesn't equate to a wealth boost for the average American. -American consumerism continues to drive higher than ever. Bigger houses, bigger cars, more services, ect ... -WTFHappenedin1971. We left the gold standard. -Technological advances such as the internet and mobile phones. The indirect effect is massive and it can't be measured with a simplistic model. If you're trying to note the wealth distribution parity, ultimately it comes down to the individual. Overindulging fat lazy Americans stunts growth and leads to depression.
This is populism in a nutshell. It energizes Bernie Bros and MAGA alike. If Trump wins and he doesn't address inequality, I don't think he could prop up his MAGA base unless he starts eating other constituents like the left has been claiming he would.
We're defining the wealth of the country as the total sum of wealth of all its citizens. So yes, it is directly correlated. And yet throughout those 50 years, the trend has been consistent much.
i agree w that statement. then on last Friday, the convicted felon posted this on his social media platform "I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it." it underscores how desperate the convicted felon and his cronnies are to distance themselves from project 2025. Even for Trump, someone who lies easily and without remorse, the suggestion that he has “no idea who is behind” Project 2025 is laughably false. The truth is Project 2025 was enabled by a raft of former Trump administration officials, including Paul Dans, former chief of staff at the Office of Personnel Management; J ohn McEntee, former director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office; Rick Dearborn, former White House deputy chief of staff for legislative, intergovernmental affairs and implementation; Ben Carson, former Housing and Urban Development secretary; Ken Cuccinelli, former deputy secretary of homeland security; Peter Navarro, former director of the White House National Trade Council and director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy; Christopher Miller, former acting secretary of defense; Stephen Moore, an adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign; Russell Vought, former director of the Office of Management and Budget; William Pendley, former acting director of the Bureau of Land Management; Paul Winfree, former director of budget policy; Brooks Tucker, former chief of staff for the Department of Veterans Affairs; Roger Severino, former director of the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services; Kiron Skinner, former director of policy planning at the State Department; and Bernard McNamee, former commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
I hear that Donald Trump and Sean Hannity are gay lovers. Have been for quite awhile. By "hear" I mean I pulled it straight out of my ass.

I hear Hunter Biden is calling the shots. This just in. @No Worries called the WH switchboard and left a long, detailed message to Joe Biden wrt the Presidential race. We can all concluded now that ... @No Worries is calling the shots.
That's a terrible analogy. Pence was fine until he didn't do what Trump asked. If anything you are proving my point.
I agree if the highest office in the land can be a convicted felon why should it even be asked on any application.
