He is setting the stage for another coup, with promises that all those participating will be free from prosecution, pardoned, and considered Patriots. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand how his manipulative and crooked mind works. It's always about him. Every agenda, every word spoken is done for one purpose. Get votes, stay in power, avoid being held accountable for breaking laws, and take any means to ensure that happens. That includes lies, violence, disregard for the laws, and putting anyone and everyone in harm's way if they dare to try and stop him. That includes law abiding citizens and police.

I fully anticipate speaker Mike Johnson to use his power to derail the certification process if he’s still speaker. If the Dems are fortunate enough to win back the house they need to move quick to sit their new members before January 6.

I also fully expect the MAGA scotus to be more active this go around. Alito and Thomas I expect to use their power to get some of the Trump faux lawsuits into their purview so they can muck things up on his behalf.

This time I fully expect Trump to not be acting through just his mob of goons and idiots like Rudy and Roger Stone. If Biden wins the entire Republican establishment will be behind Trump this time and they will have the experience behind them to know how to get from a Biden win in November to a contested election in Dec to a contested certification in January to a Trump autocracy in February.

I thought the bipartisan concensus was that the fake doctor Dr. Phil is a joke.

Mike Johnson has definitely been more pragmatic than a straight up MAGA. I think he'd do the the right thing on something so vital to the future of this country. Tbh, he's exceeded my expectations considerably.

I would like to hope so but the political pressure will be enormous.

Dems protected him but ousted McCarthy. Keeping the government funded when MAGA wanted him to not pass CRs was a huge deal. I don't think he will oversee the fall of democracy.

I’d prefer if you were Speaker. I trust you way more than him.

The lady was watching Dr. Phil. No more needs to be said about her judgement and opinions.

The nation and both parties have obviously been remiss in addressing the needs of the people would become MAGA before Trump entered politics.

They are so starved for attention and have been so neglected and overlooked that they cling to the likes of Dr. Phil.

It's sad because they are so starved and such an easy market into which to tap that people who used to be respectable like Turley, have taken the easy road of simply trying to appeal to them.

Which is sad because people who were once respected have tossed their respect to the side in order to stand out in the small pond world of MAGA. Eventually they have blown their credibility and respect, so everyone loses.

If only. Can you imagine bills actually being brought to the floor for a vote on a regular basis rather than shelved even if they were likely to pass?
