My previous posting of photos of the full Rockets team won't be complete without the coaching staff......... Here are photos of the missing 3 assistant coaches. Assistant Head Coach ~ Tom Thibodeau Assistant Coach ~ Andy Greer Assistant Coach ~ Steve Clifford
Oh really, that's him. He's an amazing fellow. I read every one of his game recaps and analyses on Yao Ming's performance in Yao's first two NBA seasons until his web site got merged with Yao Ming fan club. His passion and dedication as a Yao Ming fan are unmatched.
Here is what I've promised. John Takahashi has kindly allowed me to publish his interview with Yao Ming on October 5 Thursday.
thanks for posting that interview pryuen. someone organise some virus protection for Yao's PC he mentions Spanoulis is struggling to adapt to the longer 3pt line. No surprises there, but how much of a problem might this be? if he cant hit the perimeter shot out to 3pt range, Van Gundy will probably be hesitant to play him unless he's totally setting the world on fire with other facets of his game.
Wat? Yao playing Warcraft?? THats unexceptable he should be playing NBA game so he can learn more about strategies and individual strengths and weaknesses of players For example, Jason kidd sometimes decide to hail for taxi during the middle of the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7rQaoNHu0A&NR
i don't tihnk spanoulis makes the rotation to start the year. JVG mentioned that there will be 8 1/2 - 9 players in the rotation. deke will only play depending on matchup, and the top 5 we know, so there is only #6, 7, and 8 to figure out. howard is a lock for the rotation, snyder is a lock since JVG told him he "will definitely be out there" but his ability to conform to the system will determine how long he stays out there. the last spot needs to go to a guard who can guard PG's. up for this spot is spanoulis and head. the fact that the team is preparing to use tmac as the backup 1 and bring in a shooter makes it seem like luther is the man. vspan will improve his shot, and i predict for next year that he is our primary backup at the 1. luther at the 2. snyder at the 3. AND NOVAK at the 4.
One important factor is being overlooked here is the vital and significant contributions which Spanoulis and Novac can make to this years Rockets team Novac - three point shooting and Spanoulis- speed driving and slashing to the basket with the ability to pass to open scorers. JVG should be determined to develop these players so that by the second half of the season both have adapted to the NBA game and are making contributions to the teams success. I would rather see them as part of the rotation than JVG favorites Howard, Bowan and Padgett.
I can't help but feel there's gonna be more trades as the season progresses, and some of these guys aren't going to be with us long... we've had such a high turnover of players over the past few years... I sometimes wish we could just have a team that sticks together for years - you just can't identify a player with a team anymore...
Hey guys, sorry to have to post this here but i cant make new threads and couldnt find a relating thread for it. I live in Australia and dont get very many nba games and i use TVU player and PPlive and PPstream. TVU player has NBA TV on it which is great but there still aren't a great deal of Rockets games on it so i was just wondering if any of you know of any programs that feed local stations like FSNSW becasue almost all rockets game are on it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Matt.
There's www.streamtvnow.com They stream games using winamp. You have to pay though. Three dollars a month or something. But they get the local feed for pretty much all the games. It doesn't look like they're accepting registration right now, but I remember from last year that they'd turn registration on and off every couple of days.
I'm having trouble figuring if I can see the first preseason game. Does NBA LEAGUE PASS cover the preseason? Or is streamtvnow the best option?
Hi, i didn't see these videos posted anywhere, my apologies if they have been posted already. just some footage from training camp and media day. they aren't particularly informative, but any glimpse of our team in action is nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpBd5pkwex4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhsUQ6lIfAU in the second video, Yao basically said he expects the rockets to at least get to the 2nd round, and that team chemistry is vital to their success. cmcortese, i read somewhere that the houston/memphis preseason game is going to be on nba league pass, i'm not sure though.
