Leading my fantasy league in scoring and record, I lost to the LAST place team this week becaue Carolina could not get 55 yards in the 4th quarter....UNBELIEVABLE

I got a little worried early on, not due so much to Romo's performance but the performance of the rest of the team. Mostly just dumb penalties, bad route-running, missed kicks, missed fumble recoveries or things like that. The team started to execute better as the game went on, ending the game very well in the 4th obviously (25 points scored I believe).

I thought Romo played very well, much better than last week. The only bad throw I can think of would probably be the only INT he threw, and that was arguably not even an INT. Other than that, he seemed to make the right throws and didn't make any bad mental mistakes that I can recall (certainly not anything that cost the team). The one play where he avoided a sack and threw for a much-needed first down was great to watch. He wasn't Michael Vick out there, but he was able to scramble for some first downs (something Bledsoe couldn't do of course). He seemed to get the ball to a variety of players, which was also encouraging (TEs weren't getting much action with Bledsoe at QB I noticed). If he can continue to play like this, I do like our chances of making the playoffs.

The worst thing I saw from Romo tonight was his impersonation of Brett Favre. ;)

I think we will take the Skins and the Cardinals. Leaving us at 6-3 with a probable 6-4 after Indy. Tonight was huge, playoffs are likely if Romo plays solid.

yeah if they win the next two games. that one with indy will be freaking huge. they will have to play out of there minds to win but anything is possible.

I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm, but I can't.

Romo looks like a franchise qb out there. He goes through his progressions fast, has a quick release, has a great sense of the pocket + elusiveness and improvisation to boot.

The game moves so fast when he's out there. No stagnation like there has been for almost the past decade.

Great win and I can't wait for Indy...Will be a great game...This game was huge and Romo can only get better...I like that TO is his main guy...Drew's was Terry, however, even Terry was involved...

You can see the guys rally around Romo, something not seen for the Texans...Maybe a shake-up is needed...

The TE's were held back for more blocking when Bledsoe was behind center.
And if that was the worst thing you saw from Romo (which I thought was pretty accurate) then thats great. I agree about the INT. He didn't stay inbounds with it. Another thing to point out about Romo was when they went for the 2 point conversion. He faked a draw up the middle and then tossed to TO in the back of the endzone. Caught the defense off guard. Romo will make plays happen. Like he did on several 3rd and longs. I was very happy to see them passing on 3rd and long instead of doing the HB Draw over and over again.

He looked as good as Sage yesterday ~ except that Romo started and the Cowboys won. Had Sage started Texas teams would have been 2-0 yesterday.

I thought he did a great job of staying in the pocket and moving out only when he had to unlike Favre who just runs and slings it whenever he can. Rex Grossman seems to be Brett Farve Jr. because he does the same thing all the time.

I odnt like the COwboys at all, but for fantasy purposes, Romo did a great job of getting the ball to my TE Witten.

Terry is very good, but Owens is a different kind of player. Owens you can throw to when covered (especially in the red zone) and can make a small play into a big play. Drew did underuse Owens and Witten, the best red zone targets.

Drew might be a better quarterback if you had an all world offensive line. Drew is an accurate QB with an above average arm. But since the Boys don't have an all world line, the mobility and quick release Romo gives you just makes the Boys a much harder defense to defend. The Boys now have the ability to make a blitzing D pay bigtime.

Every game is winnable for the Cowboys. They have enough talent and approach to beat anyone. The Colts at home, at NYG and at ATL will be the only games they are not favored (I think at NYG and home at Indy are tougher though), but they are possible. Everyone (except me and SG) thought AT Car was a longshot, and we took it to them, beating them by 21 while doubling their rushing and passing output on a short week.

Of course the Boys are also capable of losing on bad teams in most any teams on their schedule. Home against Detroit and TB and at AZ are the closest things to gimmie's, but on those teams best days and a poor day by Dallas and they are losable.

I saw big positive signs in 2 of my major 3 weakness areas for the Cowboys.

    1) Romo gives us a fighting chance against a good defense on the road. That little bit of escapability and quicker decision making versus being a sitting duck like Bledsoe makes a defense have to play a lot more honest, they can't just willie nillie send in all the dogs on the inside blitz without worrying about big down field plays to TO, Glenn and Witten. The offense now has life, and not just against teams our Oline could handle, which is just barely over half.

    2) The secondary played a lot tightered. Watkins has a future, but with him and Roy both playing too aggressive and not smart enough in coverage that lead to big plays. Looks like Davis and Coleman are going to bring a lot of glue to an overall talented secondary, but one for the last 2 years has given up far too many big plays.

Now the 3rd area I am still considered about I did not see a lot of positive signs. That is the play of the Dline versus the pass minues the two OLBs in Ware and Ellis. Spears, Fergie, Canty, Ratliff--just not doing a job in bringing the inside pressure against the good OLs (JV, Phily, NYG and Car). That means teams can double team Ware or Ellis in no blitz situations and have all day to pass. Losing La'Roi Glover may have hurt more than I thought as well. This defense might be a Tommie Harris away from being just dominant.
