I also heard "Sign Fisher!" and one guy actually yelled "Shut up coach!" when Gundy was talking. He got a few boos too at the beginning. Mostly just lots of cheering. There were no boos for the players whatsoever. Just Luuuuuuuue.
They weren't booing. We were saying "Luuuuuuuuuu..." I sat right next to rockHEAD with rocketeer. It was a blast. Perfect example of why opening those to the fans is really fun but probably a serious pain in the butt for media who want to get interviews. T-Mac said right before his opening remarks, "Are you guys like this every night???" He went on to say, "In my seven years in the NBA, I have NEVER seen anything like this." He seemed genuinely moved. After watching the newscasts, it was clear he was very appreciative of the whole thing - almost moved to tears. Man, the chants of "T-Mac!" and "M-V-P" from the crowd were awsome. One guy yelled, "Reece Gains, b****!!!" as in an answer to "Reece who?" Really fun stuff.
rockHead- I have some pics, where can I get them hosted? HAYJON- I heard the "Sign Fisher"- the guy wanted Lue to come over, and he wasn't moving. Funny stuff. I felt bad for Reece Gaines; there was awhile where TMac and Lue were being interviewed, and CD/Les were surrounded by reporters, but he was just sitting on the steps right where the PC was and talking to one guy. Some people interviewed him a little later. Tim- I only wish yall had set up the stadium speakers so we could hear what the reporters were asking TMac. The "Elevation" video compilation was great!! So many oohs and ahs
yeah even on TV it looked like Gaines was a bit uneasy cause he was in sense sort of a thrown in player in the deal. He hasn't really shown anything to the league since he was a rookie last season, but i think he has something to prove and will try to play and show that he can. Hopefully he does a decent job at the backup to JJ if he gets the minutes and Pike doesn't or is moved.

They were supposed to show it on ESPN news at 6 central/ 7 eastern time... but i watched that for half an hour and all they talked about was Wimbledon.. They probably forgot about it...
