People who care about winning care. Point-diff isn't 100, but it usually a good indicator of dominance. Even in the Texans playoff seasons, you can name more times being blowout than dishing the an ass-whopping. It's no surprise they've never won.
It's not really a surprise you don't know what you are talking about. Some of the things you say are plain idiotic.
No. They've already administered an ass-whopping this season... on the road too. Steelers played an actual starting QB, not a 3rd stringer. Steelers also have a history of winning and a winning culture. Their loss is almost nothing like the Texans'.
He's going to get paid; we have to be really dumb to let him go. Would you suggest we use our first on a wr if no hopkins?
The Titans are better than we're giving them credit for. No question, they are the 2nd best team in the division. They've been in the game on the last possession of 2 of their 3 losses. Division games are always tougher. Props to the Texans. Unfortunately, a lot of the wins are going to be like this with this team's personnel. For this season to go anywhere, that defense has got to play better. I don't think the offense has the personnel it needs i.e. consistent tight end receiving threats, a power running back, better o-line, a better QB.
If he doesn't start playing better then you have to consider moving on and potentially drafting another first round WR. Literally half of the starting QB's interceptions this season are at least partially Nuk's fault either due to him not holding on to the ball, not running a proper route, or him popping the ball up in the air to the DB, and he hasn't been getting separation from DB's this year. That's not what you want from a guy you plan to play elite money to and you've got several other guys on the team who haven't been having those problems. Now maybe he's off his game due to being upset about not getting the money he wants, but he's gotta get better.
Hillarious to read this thread starting out with many predicting a Texans loss, then some declaring that if they don't blow them out its meaningless, then when its 14-0 people saying it proves nothing because the Titans are terrible, then when its close the Texans are terrible and for-sure losers, and now at the end... hey, maybe the Titans aren't that bad. Some pretty distinct tiers forming in the AFC right now: Denver/New England... followed by Pittsburgh, Houston, Oakland, KC, Cincy. Its a pretty good thing to be 3-1 with a 2 game lead in the division, and they haven't come close to playing a complete game. The offense will get better. The defense is what it is without Watt... but if guys like Wilfork and Cushing can step up to complement Merciless, Clowney, and Simon, they may just have enough overall depth/talent to hang in there.
Yup, those guys are 3-1 as well. I wonder if their fans are as upset about it as Texans fans are about being 3-1
Such a beta fan base it makes me ROFL. It would be cool it was the exact opposite. If we were super cocky, super arrogant, we're the best, etc..., and when things do go wrong we just make fun of the other team and move on to the next. And then when the opponents fans come in here and demand credit we don't give them any and continue to make fun of them. Then we laugh harder as they stew waiting for it. That's utopian fandom right there.
That's just how the majority of the Texans fanbase is, you've just gotta accept it. All they know is doom and gloom.....even when things are good. There are those who would be calling the team "mediocre" and talking about how they'll never go anywhere even if they were a 14 win team. They despise a positive outlook and think that constant negativity is somehow a superior way to look at things or that being doom and gloom somehow makes them smarter fans. It is what it is.
9 win teams are typically mediocre...you're not a bad fan if you call it as it is...now, if they ever win 14 games in a season, then not one person here would call them mediocre.
No, I saw Bobby's comment about Nuk not being worthy of the kind of contract he feels he deserves, but I also think Julio Jones is a tier above Hopkins.
