They're off to a good start. 3-0 in the division. 0-4 out of it. Even better, they're only +12 in the division and -39 out of it. Unfortunately they do play Tampa at home. Miami on the road might be winnable, but I don't think they'll be favorites. Next 3 games: Carolina, Denver and Atlanta who combined have 1 loss.
Thank God for google http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...ll-make-biggest-2014-impact-among-new-coaches Not only was O'Brien on the list of top available coaches, he was predicted to have the biggest impact. And you could argue he did...in his first year. All the other coaches in that class are doing just as bad.
Caldwell: 12-11 Zimmer: 11-11 O'Brien: 11-12 Pettine: 9-14 Gruden: 7-16 L.Smith: 4-18 Whisenhunt: 3-19
And the lions might be worse than the Texans right now. Franchise QB and all. Bob did a good job picking the coach from that bunch. It just wasn't a very good bunch.
Texans inactives: CB Kareem Jackson, WR Cecil Shorts, OLB Kourtnei Brown, S Rahim Moore, LB Akeem Dent, LB McKinney, OL Greg Mancz Titans inactives: QB Mariota, CB Cox, RB West, G Spain, WR Douglas, DE Pitoitua, DT Martin. 30 Kevin Johnson starts at CB for 25 Kareem Jackson 29 Andre Hal starts at S for 26 Rahim Moore
The Texans have got me in that mindset again. At this point, I think losing is in the best interest of the franchise. McNair only makes changes when his hand is absolutely forced. I don't think 5 or 6 wins will be enough to force it. On the other hand, they are my team. However much crap I may talk about them, I want to see them win, particularly against the Titans. It just leads to games having a weird feeling. I've been watching the Rockets and Astros for 20 years, and at no point have I ever had that feeling watching them.
Which game will be more depressing, the Texans probably losing to the Titans or the Rockets probably getting blown out by 20 for the 3rd time in a row to start the season?
Looks like Rahim Moore is the next guy BOB brought in that he's running out of town. He's healthy but inactive today. Gotta love how often BOB gets "his guy" then runs them out of town.
